I am glad that the "public option" is off the table in the Senate. Now they need to pull it from the house bill so that there is no chance for it in reconciliation.

I am glad that the "public option" is off the table in the Senate. Now they need to pull it from the house bill so that there is no chance for it in reconciliation. Yes. However, there are still land mines planted here and there in the bills under consideration which could still do great harm to our health system. Furthermore, the Democrats still refuse to consider some of the sensible suggestions from the GOP, such as tort reform and allowing insurance companies to operate anywhere in the U.S. instead of state by state. Here's the problem. Obama and the Congressional Democrats are dedicated collectivists who distrust private enterprise and are mostly incapable of evaluating realistically the inherent weaknesses of government with respect to running almost anything. They will not, short of having a gun held to their heads, give up their dreams of having the feds run health insurance, if not the health care system in its entirety. AzWm

AzWm You must also look deeply into any "co-op" idea that is funded with taxpayer dollars even in the beginning. The only real sure fire method to do this right is to do it one piece at a time.
