We lost this game cause Garland was on 3 days rest he has bad numbers on 3 days rest, and because we saw Mujica and Gallager, prior to this game Toronto hadn't scored 3 runs in 8 games

This series is like Seattle's. We face a team with 3 very good starters and two bad starters. We get the 3 very good starters. The 4 pitchers we missed for the Seattle and Toronto series:
Seattle 7.45 Luke French 6.62 Ryan Rowland-Smith
Toronto 5.14 Brandon Morrow 27.00 Jesse Litsch
Instead we get 6 pitchers with ERAs in the 3.00 range.
Sometimes the schedule sucks.

Be interesting how that firepower matches against the Padre pitching Toronto has 54 more home runs. Toronto has 50 more doubles. With those two being true, you would expect them to have scored about 100 more runs, at least. But they have only scored 48 more runs while playing an extra game and having a DH. Triva of the dayPadres have scored 146 runs at home in 34 games. Toronto has scored 146 runs away in 34 games. Even though the Blue Jays have 21 more home runs in those games.

Litch is just as good as Toronto's top 3, he was just having his first start since his injury, I expect him to have a very good second start

Nice grand slam by Cunningham in his first start for us. There was a certain poster on the Atalk who said this guy was going to be THE guy in the Kouz trade... ;D

I was fortunate enough to score tickets to the last two games. The seats tonight were awesome, second row on the third base side. I dragged my camera with me and despite having a really slow lens i got a few ok shots. Here's the fireworks from Cunningham's Grand Slam. fun game tonight edit- whoa didn't think they would show up so big, sorry.

Thank you sir, been lurking for like 5 years now at least so i figure i might as well contribute something finally.
I was just talking to my buddy about how much more we like the new batting order. I feel like they are one or two bats away from being scary good.

I feel like they are one or two bats away from being scary good. I think we will see Gwynn back at leadoff and Headley moved down to at least 5th. Headley has been in a big slump and Eck is better batting second. Having whoever is catching batting 4th wouldn't be a bad thing. I prefer Gonzalez batting 4th but I have given up hope. We do need a bat. Either someone we already have needs to really step up or we need to add someone. A stud outfielder would be nice. I wouldn't even mind getting Milton Bradley back. That worked real well last time and he looked really pumped to be back in San Diego last weekend. Maybe he has hopes of coming back too.

Baltimore series we will miss: 3.83 Jeremy Guthrie 2.77 Jake Arrieta (only two games) Tampa Bay series we will miss: 2.83 Jeff Niemann 2.31 David Price (10-2) Padres at Tampa Bay - The best record in the NL versus the best record in the AL.

I liked Milton a lot when he was here, it's obvious he has some issues but it really did seem like people were trying to make him break all the time.
It would be nice if Blanks came back and started hitting again. Also what do you think about Hundley batting higher in the order now that he has been on such a nice streak?

If it was my team I would bat Hundley 3rd and AGon 4th. If Adrian walks in his first at bat and is batting 4th, we would either have the 5th batter hitting with a runner in scoring position or with a runner at first and no outs. Either way a single by the 5th batter will most often lead to a run.

Especially when the 26 year old is currently doing it and the 30 year old is not.
