sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/news/story?id=6125802Are you EFFING KIDDING ME!?!?!? OK, so the article says that they'd likely "only play two games in the Valley View Casino Center," AKA: The San Diego Sports Arena. Sorry, but I'm not OK with this, unless they're willing to play the Aztecs there. I'm not sure what, if anything, SDSU can do about this, but if I were Jim Sterk or Steve Fisher or Stephen Weber's replacement, I would not be at all pleased about this development. The gist of the story is that since Pauley Pavilion will be undergoing major renovations next year and will be closed to the Beruins, they need to find a place to play. They are trying to decide between the LA Sports Arena, Staples Center, The Honda Center in Anaheim, a place in Bakersfield, Citizens Business Bank in Ontario, and the San Diego Sports Arena, or some combination of these. Sorry turds, but San Diego already has a major college basketball team, and we don't need UCLA invading our turf. You are not welcome here unless you're coming to play the Aztecs. Case closed.

So what? It's a private venue and they can rent to whomever they like. Besides, with how weak UCLA attendance has been lately, any venue farther than a short drive will be a ghost town.

We can also invade the UCLA games and give them a nice road environment.

Howland's parents were both Aztecs. I think he was born in SD. And if they want to play at the Sports Arena, I don't think they will draw over 5,000. The Show, can Show up at the games and Haze the Bruins.

Aztecs should think about playing a game a year at the Fabulous Forum for the benefit of L.A. area alumni and recruits. I'm sure that building is hard up for events. Might be fun to have the Red and Black take over L.A. for a day.

The ruins will learn what the Aztecs already know about playing before a monstrous crowd of 1500 or 2000 at the Sports Arena.

So, the LA Sports Arena is "too close to USC"? BFD. It's 15 miles from campus. The SD Sports Arena is 130 miles. If the Forum is no longer available, then the LASA is the only choice. Sounds like they're just using this as a bargaining chip to bet he LASA more "UCLA friendly."

Would MSG's alterations preclude the occasional basketball game? The Aztecs played two games in a livestock showroom earlier this year, if memory serves.
Otherwise, the Anaheim Convention Center would work just fine. Make it SDSU Day at Disneyland.

Would MSG's alterations preclude the occasional basketball game? according to the article, it appears so. Ucla has already explored the option of playing their home games in the Forum. And was told it will be a concert-only venue.

So you can play basketball games at Radio City Music Hall but not the Forum? Weird.

Keep UCLA out of this town unless they play the Aztecs.

lol, UCLA!!
If the Bruins thought L.A. sports fans were indifferent to UCLA basketball (and football) up there, wait until they get a look at the stands when they play in the San Diego Sports Arena!
