It doesn't seem like AJ wants VJack around after this year. I don't get that at all. He's kept his nose clean the past year and if he continues down that path then sign him long term.
VJack impacts our offensive game in a major way. With he, Gates and the tandem of Matthews/Tolbert for the whole year we should be dominant on the offensive side again and more consistent.

I don't get that feeling. I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal worked out late in the season before it is over, assuming VJ keeps his head on right. I also wouldn't be surprised to see AJ go after someone in the draft like a McCluster or Ford type that can return kicks and replace VJ in the future in case they can't work out a contract.

I don't think you can say that. By tagging him, he gets a fat contract. If AJ wanted him gone, he'd have traded him when he had the chance. He gets him on a 1-year deal now, to evaluate his behavior and performance, and can then either 'tag him again (depending on verbiage in the next CBA), or sign him long term.

I hope that's true, Josh, I don't think it is, though. Everything I've read indicates AJ letting VJack go after the 2011 season. I would be very happy if they resign VJack after the 2011 season to a long term contract. I have no confidence whatsoever in AJ's dealing's with VJack at this time, none. It's time to step up and do what's right to get this team to the SB. AJ need's to be accountable too, not just the players.

VJ needs to be accountable off the field before he gets a long-term deal. AJ is 100 percent right on this one.

VJ is a liability because his next suspension will be for a year. That is a long time for a player to be gone from a team so he has to prove that the "irresponsible party dude" is out of his system. (Even if he still wants to be a responsible party dude.)
