Why would Fisher want terrible coaches to be fired? Answer he wouldn't. Fisher knows it is in his best interest if lousy coaches at UNLV, Wyoming, Fresno and Reno are allowed to remain. Easy wins for Fisher. Who honestly believes Fisher wants to recruit or coach against big time coaches like Reggie Theus who would wipe the floor with Fisher in recruiting? You obviously don't know Fisher or anything else about this situation. Fish is right on ther mark. Think he still doesn't sting from the raw deal dealt him at Michigan? The messgae you send through this firing is the wrong one for the players and makes it MORE difficult to recruit a talented HC to the program. Who wants to work for a knee-jerk a$$hole AD who would pull this crap with a month to go in the season? Good luck finding anyone with coaching and recuiting skills willing to take that job. There will be a couple dozen jobs available on March 14 and if I'm any good I don't interview in Laramie.

Seriously.......I mean, how does your STARTING QUARTERBACK suddenly decide to transfer? Yes, losing ACS is a huge and unexpected blow - especially to a team that went 3-9 last year (1-7 in conference). No explanation was given for his decision to leave, but it was voluntary and it clearly took the Wyo. coaching staff by surprise. Also leaving are two Wyo starters who would've been juniors next year: stud safety Shamiel Gary (named First-Team Freshman All-American - transferring to Okl. St.) and kicker Ian Watts (academic casualty). In addition, Wyo went through last season with less than 70 players on the roster (80 is the limit). I think Wyoming is going to have trouble competing in the future for sure. The actual limit on scholarships is 85, and you can have 20 walk-ons. If the total Wyo squad numbers fewer than 70 then they are really in trouble. (Perhaps you were refering only to scholarship players.) Historically, Wyoming has had good years, but the present lay of the FB land is very much against them. Maybe more so than at NMU. AzWm
