Thirty student athletes made the honor roll during the Fall semester as they were actively competing in their respective sports. This includes 14 members of the football team, six from the cross country team and five, each, from the volleyball and women's soccer teams. And yes, there are some high profile football players that earned this status. goaztecs.cstv.com/genrel/021011aab.htmlCongratulations to jobs well done as competitors in both their respective sports and in the classroom.

Football, class breakdown: Freshmen--4 Sophmores--4 Juniors--4 Seniors--2 Pretty impressive improvement by the football team, considering it wasn't all that long ago that we were having scholarships taken away due to poor academics. Also, for men the only team with All Academic honors is football. Things have improved for football on many different fronts. Now, comes the test--stability over the long haul. Miles Burris is a badass...smart on and off the field. He's going high in next year's draft.

Wow, a 3.81 GPA and in Engineering? Hell man, DJ Shield better design his own helmet. He can't afford to get his bell rung.

Miles Burris is a badass...smart on and off the field. He's going high in next year's draft. Maybe that's why our defense improved so much linebackers Miles Burris, Logan Ketchum and Colin Shumate with defensive linemen Ernie Lawson and Larry Gibbs, teamed with defensive backs Leon McFadden and Rene Siluano all either started or played significant roles for the defense this last year.
