I wonder how much he got from Virginia?
If Ohio State paid Parrish $400k, I would have to think it was comparable or maybe more?

Honestly, the bashing for the players that transfer and move on has to stop. I agree. Dude basically accepted a new job with a (most likely) substantial raise...something almost everyone on this board, and in the working world in general, would have done. Good for him. Most of us would have also given the standard notice, not have left our bosses and teammates in a lurch, nor have gone on social media and talked smack after sandbagging everyone.

We all know that Elijah is SOFT... as further evidenced by his X (Twitter) actions.

Unless we're truly under the impression basketball season starts on May 2, or basketball practice for that matter, we need to stop comparing it to "giving 48-hour notice that you're quitting your job". Dutcher and staff still have several weeks/months to find a suitable replacement, no matter that some potential recruits had signed elsewhere before Saunders' announcement.

Has Virginia also added a transfer from Duke Virginia was a team most thought did not deserve to be in MM It sure seemed that Saunders most valued his three point shooting even though he was also 95% FT shooter I think the reason why he didn't dribble drive to the basket is because he can't, or he's not confident in it, yet. He should have posted up more with that body, but then again, what was he going to do after he caught it in the post, kick it out? I don't think he would have taken it to the basket.

Soft is kind… 3 rebounds per game, 6-8 240 pathetic production from a guy that size. Some nerve, If Virginia thinks they can light a fire in him, good luck.

I do not blame the players for taking more money, I blame the rules. These players are likely making more now than they will make after going “pro”. I dislike the turn over, the inequality, the heavier reliance on the monetary.
However, loyalty to program/team can place the player in elite category. Look at Gwynn versus Winfield, Ozzie (who was traded), Adrian, R Alomar, etc.
Those who go elsewhere will never be one of my favorite Aztecs. I really enjoyed keshad’s interviews. Maybe if he had stayed to finish as an Aztec he would have made my list, but alas no. This is not because I blame the players, but because loyalty over money elevates.
Go Aztecs

Wonderful reminder that past/present/future players see everything.

Wonderful reminder that past/present/future players see everything. Frankly I think our fan base is pretty tame compared to some. Our fans mostly seem to be complaining about player motives for leaving. Other fan bases are messaging players and telling them to kill themselves. It’s just an entirely different level.

I could argue bigger fan base, more noise, easier to drown out dumb comments. When Aztec twitter has MAYBE 100 people consistently commenting on twitter and 20% of them post crazy stuff after games or when transfers happen it's a lot more noticeable.

Dutcher and staff still have several weeks/months to find a suitable replacement, no matter that some potential recruits had signed elsewhere before Saunders' announcement. Yet the coaches didn’t know he was leaving. So it hurt them two fold. 1. They didn’t know he was leaving. They were set on him being the staring PF. 2. He left last minute. It hurt SDSU getting a transfer that committed to another team, or a player that has a short list and committing soon. Now SDSU is back to square one on getting a PF/SF player which will be harder to get. So, yes if you follow recruiting and transfer portal. What Saunders did was 48 hour notice.

Is there really a kid and/or girlfriend? Or is/was this speculation? I'm assuming if there is one or both, then the money can provide them to all be together, wherever? He would have received similar money on Arizona. This is about pt and his role in the offense.

Twitter warriors baiting young kids so the warriors can get that rush. Sheesh. The twitter warriors are trash human beings, yet we besmirch young and immature athletes for falling prey to these crap stains upon society. smh These kids need to avoid Social Media except for professional communications. Let the world have their meltdown. Block the azzhats. Get on with your life. He smartly blocked his instigators. Unfortunately, not before he took the bait.

They ate worse than us... by more than a little.

The more we talk about the “Twits” just gives their content power. I say ignore those Twits and take the power out of them, their thoughts and non sense!

It breaks down like this, my guess is many fans are upset Saunders left because they liked him and believed he was going to be an important contributor to the 24-25 team. As a result. some bitterness comes out because of disappointment. Throw in the social media factor and this is what happens. Believe me, if he was a lousy player no one would care
