while SDSU does want guys to play defense - would add that almost as important is a guy that can rebound on both ends of the court - Rebounding hurt in the UCONN game

Very thankful that we have him with all of the departures.

What a thoughtful and family-oriented kid. I thought he would be beefier. He probably needs to put some muscle on that frame. Hope he's got some Josh Davis in him.

Even Purdue with the giant at center had issues. No shame in that. The issue is when Boise State or GCU out rebound the Aztecs. It didn't help that the starting PF for most of the season rebounded like a 6'2 guard. He's gone. There's gonna.be someone better no matter who is playing at rebounding than that other guy

think Josh Davis came to SDSU at about - 6'8" and 215 lbs. but had the mind set to own the area close to the backboard -
AG the last couple of years also had a similar frame but worked like crazy to be a force down low on both ends of the court
So would think that Pharaoh with the assistance of the trainers/staff with his motor could also become a strong force down low

Pharaoh reportedly has a 7'3 wingspan. With the exception of seeing over defenders for passing and for where you're making contact on your body/shoulders, height is not as important as REACH.
Aguek Arop was 6'6 but his crazy long arms enabled him to play center because his reach when blocking shots, grabbing rebounds and where the ball would come out of his hands around the hoop was the same as a 6'10 guy.
I'd rather have a 6'6 PF with long arms than a 6'8 PF with short arms any day. Especially if they know how to use their size and length. Sometimes a lower center of gravity on a long armed dude can be surprising because defenders innately or intuitively don't expect to be out reached for rebounds or on blocked shots or when trying to block a shot. And the lower center of gravity can help when you're fighting for positioning down low offensively or defensively.
