The Aztec women stunned new Mexico in ot to advance to the semis against the Wyoming Utah State winner. I arrived with New Mexico leading 49-41 and the lady aztecs dominated the rest of the game.

The North Carolina loss sticks out as the game where the all time attendance record of 13,000+ was set. The fire Marshalls prevented fans from entering the sports arena that night.

With tonight's escape win, SDSU joined Kansas at 26 wins and Villanova with 25 wins on another team's home court since 2008 as reported on radio post game show. That is a good record. Thomas and Mack named 'Viejas East'. GO AZTECS!!!!!.

The 2009 mwc chà mpionship against Utah and the Texas Tech with Bobby Knight at home in middle 2000s plus this boise State game are three of many examples of Hall ref'd games where the aztecs lost.

First, ted needs to stop defending ref david hall, who is a terrible ref. Most Aztecs conference losses are in his games. Second, dutcher is making a poor excuse of the team's youth. This team is poorly motivated. Third, add alford to the coaching staff.

I went to that debacle game in 1996 in Las Vegas. The windy bowl game against north Carolina was in 1998. I joined Hank Bauer, Randy Jones and Gene Alim for that 1996 game. Hank shared a lot of football knowledge. What a fun trip despite catching the red eye home for pro football the next day and the loss.

I am grateful to be back at work after a year + long medical break. So I will work and miss this game. My plans are to attend the mwc hoops tourney in March 2019.

numbers 44 (Cage) and 15 (Leonard) should be hanging from the rafters inside viejas arena. This is long overdue for their SDSU accomplishments to aztecs hoops. It is great when the entire baseline has banners for past season successes of players, championships and NCAA/nit achievements. Cage videos from sdtimemachine on YouTube.

I saw a youtube video from 1984 where cage blocked two shots in final seconds as SDSU beat new mexico. This 2018 NCAA loss was the "moving out of the way" defense. Stand our ground in future games.

All aztecs fans need to watch the youtube video posted by sdtimemachine titled "clippers, sdsu and chargers 1983 This is michael cage playing in petersen gym with both levels open. I loved the team uniforms then. Smokey gaines was the coach. A combination of local media including leitner who did channel 8 sports back then are included.

The las vegas review journal published an article as to why overall attendance is dwindling at the yearly tournament. The loss of bywho fans is one factor. Timing with other events (hotel prices) is another. My top guess is the downfall of the Vegas team and drop in their yearly attendance.
