Agree on aTm, Bob, but I think it's going to happen. Then I think there's a very good chance the SEC will also take Missouri. See this: www.southernpigskin.com/index.php/site/sec_expounding_on_expansion/Miami has already said it does not want the SEC (already taken a step down from their former might by joining the ACC) and for obvious reasons, Florida is reportedly very opposed to Miami and FSU joining the SEC. Because Mizzou is a member of the AAU, it would also bring a bit of academic legitimacy to the SEC. Losing Utah will hurt the MWC's AQ chances but dissolution of the Big 12 will help because it eliminates one of the so-called Big 6. Also, managing to bring in Kansas and K-State would help a bit with the BCS formula - assuming the two don't go to the Big East, as seems most logical for them to do.

Well, congrats to MWC's TCU which beat Texas to advance to the CWS.

There are posts all over the MWC board about where Scott's plane has allegedly been and where it may allegedly be headed. That seals it. This thing has officially become a complete farce.

Farce or cluster f#ck SGF? Both, man. Dad told me he met lots of Texans in the army and learned never to trust any of them. I think their descendants are in charge of this fiasco.

I have a feeling Scott wants Utah to pick up some TV sets and throw a monkey wrench into the upstart MWC for taking some of the shine off the pacfudge recently. The Utes as was noted would pair up with the buffs in his geographical mind!

Uh-oh. Looks like Texas will commit to Big-12 (!): texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1094038--The Big 12 would proceed with 10 teams. Everyone would play everyone in football, providing a nine-game conference schedule. So, Utah will be off to the Pac-10. Will we lose anyone to the Big-12 if A&M goes to the SEC?

The Texas Rivals site is just a mouthpiece for DeLoss Dodds. That report is just cover for UT to say it did every possible to keep the Big 12 together despite the fact that's not at all true. That site posts the truth when Dodds wants to tell the truth. See this for what's really going to happen: sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5284375

Ouch. Looks like the least favorable scenario for the MWC is coming to pass--the loss of two schools. Utah to PAC Whatever and someone else to the Big 12. So, we picked up Boise to cover Utah, who covers the lost team or do we just stay at 9? The Fred Noonan School of Navigation.

Just to be clear for you and anybody else who still cares about this circus side show . . . Right now, this Orangebloods thing is all about Texas trying to make it look like other schools were to blame for demise of the Big 12. Nebraska leaves first, so blame them. (Even though UT drove them away.) Colorado leaves next, so blame them. (Even though the Pac has always been a better fit for CU and they would have left years ago had Stanford not nixed the package deal with UT.) Now after going through this charade, DeLoss Dodds will also blame aTm when its governing board accepts the SEC invite today (even though the SEC is a much better fit for them than the Pac). Dad SGF said when he was in the army he never played cards with a Texan who didn't cheat. DeLoss Dodds is just another Texas poker player.

So I went to get a cup of coffee and then come back to find out that Chip Brown at orangebloods.com is saying that Texas is staying in the Big 12... What the heck is going on? Boy, I'll bet orangebloods.com is making a killing on all this.
