How about a 3rd option to rid the board SDSU of embarrassing mascots threads? Fixed. Well played, LTB

Only once. I quit and came back to find out that Sleevless Show had registered my name to try and bribe me. As you notice, I am SteveAztec again right now, and that has been my board name for over 12 years with exception of the theft of my name for a few months. So you are wronggggg again. So, steveaztec, saztec,MissionbeachAztec, Aztecsteveghost are not you right? Like always you are wrong again. [/quote saztec/MissionbeachAztec/Aztecsteveghost were all me, AFTER my name was stolen by Sleeveless Show after I quit the board for one night. I have never posted under two names at the same time and have had the same exact name (SteveAztec) for 11 years. You seem very obsessed with me or you are some type of creepy stalker on me. Which is it?

I found myself voting No. On one hand, I would like to see the board more organized without a half dozen topics about the same thing, and then on the other hand significantly different events may merit a separate post. An unrelated example might be somebody starting a thread about heavy storms resulting in flooding in the Mission Valley. During the same storm, snow may be falling in the Tehachapis closing down I-5. Same storm, entirely different news. If it is mandated that all storm reports be placed in one storm thread, somebody that is quickly rushing through the topic headlines because they don't have the time to read a 12 page thread might not see the closure report, and spend their weekend in Lebec, rather than San Diego. Now there you go again. Complicating our jobs by using logical reasoning! Your points have merit. The issue remains unresolved. WLR I received this in my Inbox not long ago. Leadership quotes. The quote seems to fit for this topic: I am a man of fixed and unbending principles, the first of which is to be flexible at all times. -- Everett Dirksen

I voted against for the same reason as Phil. While I hate Zuma, and think it should go, this topic has many sides to it, not just the mascot part. But the schools Admins political and social points of view as well as their thought process in creating and presenting it. Of course the personal feelings of fans pro and con, can and will go to far some times, it seems that this is one of the best forums for a topic with a history so closely tied to the schools tradition.. I understand your point. Don't forget that we are not suggesting that the topic be banned outright. The problem that I, and I think others, have is that often the threads devolve into name calling and personal accusations rather than more-or-less intelligent discussion. WLR You just detailed about 80% of the threads on the board... How about one gigantic super-thread consolidating all topics!

He's a very obsessed, creepy stalker. So both Steve. Seriously, are you and Steve attach to the hip? You are more obsessed with Steve than anybody. You are very creepy! Just like you and your cronies, huh? You and your boyfriends continually follow each other up with your personal attacks, just like Spruce did with you on the above posts. We all really know who's attached at the hip and getting Ram Rodded. Perfect name for you.

Yes please! In fact can we get rid of it completely. I'm tried of all the Drama Queens on this broad, so up set about a kids mascot. Take all this energy and put it into getting your nieghbors to buy season tickets to the football games next year.

I have put energy into neighbors and friends to buy basketball season tickets for over 40 years. How about you? In fact, an estimate would be that I am responsible for about 16 new season tickets sold over the last 6 years and approx. 8 football season tix sold over the last 6 years. Add to that I buy approx 40 extra tickets to basketball games a year and GIVE THEM away.....I buy about 20 extra football tickets and GIVE THEM away every year. How about you zbt69?

Wow, must be nice to be able to afford that. I can't, but I do commend you for being so generous. I would suggest being a little more humble and classy, rather than looking down on those of us who aren't able to give away free tickets, or live in areas where our neighbors can afford to buy season tickets. With all due respect, you don't come across in the best light with statements like this. That being said, I can say that Zuma (yes Zuma the Pu...er, Jaguar) is causing me to consider buying two more season tickets next year. I couldn't care less about the cat, but my kids love him and now won't leave my husband and me alone when we go to basketball games without them.

Maybe it'll cost more that a babysitter but, if you can afford it get 3 so the BYWho Cougar can sit with you and your kids.

Sorry but most people call me one of the most humble people they have ever met. AND the poster I was responding too was challenging me to get people in the seats instead of spending tiime on Zuma. I just informed him that I do both and asked about him. PS...I don't have any more money than you do Alumni, in fact you probably have much more than I. How is this for humble. I live in a studio apt, have since 1984 after I got divorced. I didn't have a car for two years and rode the bus (the #8 was a great experience by the way). In 1989 I had less than .50 cents to my name and lived out of my car at Mission Bay. I have never owned a home and grew up in the mountains with parents of average income. I never saw a beach until I was 22 years old and never had a pizza until I was 21.
