Well, he has Colorado being left out but they are going to the Pac 10 - officially. I still think Utah could end up in the Pac 10. The 3 Texas schools that the Pac 10 want do not want to leave Baylor and therefore may not follow Colorado's lead to the Pac 10. If those 5-6 teams stay, even with Nebraska going to the Big 10, they could poach TCU & Houston and keep the Big 12 alive - this is my one fear that does hurt the MWC (that we lose both Utah and TCU). So for MWC fans, the key is for the Texas teams (less Baylor) to move on to the Pac 10 and then we scoop up some of the leftovers (Kansas, K-State, Baylor) to make a 12 team league. That would leave Iowa State, Missouri and Boise St out in the cold.

OR Texas keeps the Big twelve together and graps BYU and Air Force and Utah heads to the Pac. TCU will not go because they offer as much to them as SDSU does to the pac (read they already have that TV market.) Big 12 takes BYU and Airforce because both have national appeal. This would leave the MWC with three to replace.

The basketball season sure would be exciting if we could add Kansas and KSU.

I thought I heard a report this morning that the Texas state government has jumped into the fray. Apparently they are demanding Baylor be included into any move involving UT to another conference. I don't know what power they have in this matter.

MWC likely to take Boise State, Kansas, K-State & Baylor, latest I heard this AM from some mouthpiece with a crystal ball!
MWC should merge with Big 12 to get BC$ auto bid and Fiesta Bowl tie-in.

Better hope Mizzou goes to the Big 10 because if they don't the MWC could break up ( Big 12 adds TCU, Utah, BYU, AFA and CSU) and SDSU will be F'ed. The Best case for SDSU right now is if the MWC can add Mizzou, KU, KSU, Houston and Boise. Although I don't see that happening. I am getting really worried that the BIG 12 is going to raid the MWC and SDSU is going to be twisting in the wind.

If the Big 12 is going to raid the MWC, why wouldn't they take SDSU & UNLV? Two bigger TV markets and recruiting areas.

I'm guessing at this point there is no way that BYU, Air Force or TCU would risk going to the Big XII which is unstable (at best) at this point.

First of all stupid move by Colorado but they paniced. I really want to play against Texas? Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.
Okay, Big 12 or some number. Don't sit back and wait to disappear. Kansas, KState, Iowa, Iowa State, TCU and Houston for the east; SDSU, UNLV, Boise St,Utah, BYU and UNR. Now you have east and west, you gather in Boise, TCU, Utah and BYU.
Best yet you keep you BCS alive. Let the rest run

Wayno, welcome to the new board but be aware that the BleacherReport is the least credible sports website known to man. (And woman too.)

Being a 6th year senior, I will take that as a compliment, thanks. Don't worry about it. I didn't manage to graduate in four years either. Take it from an old guy, life's short, so enjoy it. And I encourage you to strive for non-drivebyness as it's clear you're quite capable of much better. (Many aren't, frankly.)
