It's a big deal when you beat the #4 team.

Hell, a couple of years ago we'd rush the court on a unranked Arizona team if we could beat them...I thought it was strange, but they did beat the #4 team...I just figured their arrogance would have dictated a different outcome.

Just like when we do it, when BYU rushed the court it was a sign of respect for their opponent.
And just like when we do it, chanting Overrated was a denigration of themselves. (Stupidest chant in sports history maybe.)

(Stupidest chant in sports history maybe.) I agree with that. "Overrated" is one of the dumbest chants ever, if only because it minimizes what you just accomplished.

Remember, after they got done celebrating, they still had to go home in Provo, Utah. After our games, we get to go home in San Diego, CA. We will always come out on top in that match-up.

That brought a grin to my face.
They rushed after beating us? Yes indeed, times have changed.

I remember rushing the court at the Sports Arena back in 1988 (I think that was the year). BYU came in ranked 7th, The Aztecs beat them, and the court was rushed. Every student should rush the court before leaving college. It is an experience you really never forget, and kind of funny 20+ years later.

Storming the T&M floor in 2002 in front of Reb fans in their own house - in my top 3 fav sports-fan moments, along with '84 Garvey walk-off and Gibson knocking O'Donnell's 4th down pass in '94...

I took a limo to that game and sat in row 1 at mid court. Sweet win.

I'm an old guy and never have had the opportunity to rush the court. But I plan to do so on February 26!

I stormed the court after the St.Mary NIT win a couple years ago. It was an awesome experience.
Unless the game on the 26th determines the MWC champ, I wouldn't expect to see The Show on the court.

I was wondering if they would rush the court. After it was over I thought BYU Fan took the Hank Stram approach and slowly matriculated themselves onto the court. Lol. It was no mad rush at all. Sort of like they thought security was going to secure and force them to start their one year missions early for being borderline spontaneous.

I was thinking the same thing, they didn't rush or storm the court they kinda just spilled onto the court or slowly made their way onto the court.

I also think BYU Fan didn't want to "rush" and spill his/her last cup of hot cocoa or chocolate milk that was purchased before concessions halted sale of those types of alternative beverages the 10:00 minute mark. ;D
