Sounds like he was coached quite well while at SDSU; a tip of the cap to his position coach. I agree. Route running is all about coaching and work ethic. It can't be a coincidence that so many WR's have flourished since Lecharls Mcdaniel took over as the position coach. Especially players who were given up on due to injuries, attitude, or perceived lack of ability early in their career at SDSU. Who would have guessed that Chaz Shillenz, Brett Swain, Roberto Wallace, Vincent Brown, and likely Demarco Sampson would all be NFL caliber players? All, except for Brown, were Craft recruits. Impressive. I just couldn't help myself. ;D

Nice article about VB in the SD rag today. Best part is his staying in SD and making sure he gets his degree. Good luck and have fun VB!

Definitely a first day draft pick. Can't wait to celebrate when his name is called.
Good on you Vincent.

I'm curious if anybody else who has watched the game - even just casually like I have - thinks that Mel Kiper Jr. just might no longer have Jake Locker as the #1 QB in the draft like he was saying a year ago that Locker would be.

Should be interesting to see how this next crop of WRs develop under McDaniel and to see what they learned from observing VB & DeMarco. Wasn't it just a week or two ago that some posters were asking why McDaniel was retained? My answer was that it's because he's a good coach. Our young WR's are in good hands (no pun intended).

I remember that. My post on that thread was that they've kept him around a long time because he can COACH and RECRUIT.

People forget we were once "Wide Receiver U". Oldie Out Yes were were. I was thinking ther exact same thing. I do shake my head though whenever I see the replays of "The Drive" when Byner is stripped of the ball... and Webster Slaughter's feet seem frozen in the turf as Denver recovers the ball. Webster had a nice career nonetheless (Houston & Cleveland). I Roomed next door to him in Zapotec Hall (1st year as a co-ed dorm).

who are the coaches- how is San Diego State on the "North" ? SDSU is on the winning side. The Union won the war. RRR HAM That's classic comedy!

I don't understand the refernces to coming from a small school in The UT today. SDSU is about 35k students. I would think we are one of the larger schools in The Country.
