I think most of us, including me, are looking past AFA. I hope our team isn't. AFA has a decent record at 10-6. However, they have played absolutely nobody. Anything can happen in the Wild Wild MWC, though. Logically we should crush them by 20+. I hope Fish is getting our guys prepared mentally.

Yep.Different sport and level altogether, but I'm sure many(most) New England Patriot fans were looking past the New York Jets today after the early season shellacking by New England of them. ...Don't fall asleep on Air Force, fellas.

Have you not been watching this team this season? We're 19-0. The last thing I'm worried about with this team is "looking past" someone. Now, free throw shooting, 3 point shooting, quick fouls. Those are things to worry about. but not looking past someone.

We don't really beat anybody by 20. I Love SDSU, always have. In the Navy now and touting us every chance I can... still nervous before every game... but that's how it is following SDSU, we've never really won since I've been a student/alumn but I'll stick up for them forever.

You would think after being 19-0 people would learn. Fish has stated multiple times that he won't let the ranking get to to their heads. Coach has had the boy prepared all season and I have no doubt that Wednesday game will be any different.
I understand that we are in uncharted territory for the program but I wish our fans were a bit more confident. We have a top ten team, we should start acting like it.
Are we going to have a tread about how nervous everyone is before every game we are favored to win for here on out?

Are we going to have a tread about how nervous everyone is before every game we are favored to win for here on out? Yes. We have had our closest games against teams we should smash. It happens every year to a highly ranked team, so people being nervous about a team like Air Force is not unreasonable.

That even the best managed and coached teams,be they in the college or PROFESSIONAL ranks, sometimes are upset for one (e.g.overlooking an opponent) or various reasons despite being highly favored? You kinda make it sound as if 19-0 runs are par for the course here annually -- Newsflash:We're not or haven't been Kentucky or Duke, etc and it IS a first here. This is rarefied air for most of us long time suffering alumni, so pardon some of us for exersizing a little concern and restraint here and there. We've been jilted one too many times,in other words. "Act like a Top 10 team" Care to show us? What Top 10 team have you rooted before for? Most fans and followers of the Dukes and Kentuckeys of the college basketball world that I come across often act very arrogant and entitled. Not sure I want to follow that. One can be confident in their team without going overboard. Listen,Kid,you're very fortunate to be a student right now with this basketball team defying and/or exceeding anyone's preseason expectations here as it's doing.I'm sure Coach Fisher will have the team prepared and the Aztecs most likely will prevail, but if you have waited as long as many of us here have for a genuine nationally ranked winner, particular after witnessing the football program take so many tumbles throughout the years, you'd be a little nervous too.If history is prologue, you'd already know something about being on the outside always looking in,as well as the long term disappointment and heartbreak that accompanies it.Just as we can taste it,it's snapped away... ...Tell me and everyone here RIGHT NOW that you are not going to be nervous about facing a surging BYU and their wonder boy,Fredette, when we face off with them on the 26th? Not a teensy-weensy bit?

Not a teensy-weensy bit? I think my point may have been misconstrued a bit. I think to assume that the team may lose because they are over looking a team is a bit of a discredit to what the team and coaching staff has accomplished thus far this season. I acknowledged that we are in uncharted territory with the teams new found success but I feel we should have more confidence (not arrogance) playing a team like AF at Viejas based on what we have seen these players and and this team do. Its possible we lose? Yeah, It possible we lose every game from here on out. I get that. Maybe you're right and my attitude stems from me being a relativity new fan. I have a lot of respect for the older alumni who have stuck with the program though down years. I never said that I wasn't nervous about any of the games. I was nervous about playing at the Pit and BYU is a great team. I just think threads devoted to this topic before teams we should beat are a bit excessive.

Even it we do look past them, we'll still win. Not worried worried about this game; not worried about any game. I just assume we'll come back and win. And so far, I haven't been disappointed. Enjoy this incredible season!

this team id dialed in. if they do lose, it won't be from "looking past" anyone.

Actually, I agree with some of the recent Nervous Nellies around here. We should lose to the Zoomies just to get it out of the way. That way we would no longer have the burden of a Top 10 ranking and an unblemished record to carry around. As it is, we're like Frodo entering Mordor and climbing Mount Doom. The Ring around our neck is getting as heavy as a very large stone. BTW, there is no freakin' way we lose to the Zoomies at home. Ain't gonna happen. Fish won't allow it. Neither will the players. And The Show won't put up with it, either.

If and when the team comes out flat it's up to The Show and the rest of us to reignite them. Aztec Crowds = Sixth Man.

I was thinking about this today as well. We have to remain focused and play each game and not be looking forward. We do that, and we've got a real good chance of being undefeated come the MWC tourney.

Great game to get our bench some playing time. Rest our starters as much as we can, then work on our game plan for BYU for a week.

Our team needs to remember we are not a 3 point shooting team. Our offense needs to work inside like before. Only when they force us to shoot 3s, do we. Every 3 point attempt should be on a short clock or wide open and in rhythm.

Shoot 'em only in rhythm.
