Strange that both articles came out on the same day? One saying SDSU is his first choice and the other saying he is going JUCO? Someone has the story wrong... Both may be correct, SDSU may be his first choice if he can get in. True, but seems like a simple question for the reporter/s to ask?

Taft is playing in a tourney with some of top high school teams in the country and dominated their first game. We would be lucky to get these 2 (or just 1). Kevin Johnson 2011, center, Taft Johnson looked twice as big as anyone Mount Vernon threw against him, and his play matched his size. Johnson scored 26 points on 12-of-20 shooting, snagged 13 rebounds and blocked four shots. Not known for having the best hands, Johnson did a nice job for the most part corralling passes from his teammates who willingly looked for him throughout the game. C.J. Blackwell 2011, small forward, Taft A big bodied wing with a shooter's touch, Blackwell contributed 13 points on 6-of-12 shooting and a game high 14 rebounds. Blackwell has limited lateral quickness but is tremendously strong and jumps well. He projects as a productive rebounder and scorer oat the mid-major level. californiapreps.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1176999

I'll take 'em both. But we really need 6'10"/250 from KJ to round out our team.

Sounds like he needs to continue developing his offensive game. But, nothing wrong with adding a shot blocking center. Welcome Jonathan Underwood.

Is he still able to register so as to be eligible in the 2nd semester next season? Won't play until 2012. Transfering to a jc in San diego this spring. He only played 4 games this year, so he could likely ask for a redshirt, play 1 season at a JC to hone his skills, and still have 2 years of eligibility remaining. It looks like he has family issues and wants to be closer to his home in AZ .. so it will be interesting to see how this all pans out? Could be a solid rebounder and shot blocker if he ever makes it here with legit PF/C size.
