I'd rather play Boise with Moore under center anyway. If Moore goes to the NFL this spring Boise won't be favorced against us. I'd rather play Boise as an underdog 10-0 team with the MWC championship, BCS bowl and top-5 ranking on the line. someones being hitting the bong hard. The Aztecs just took a step from being terrible to decent but that next step to being a top ten team is much farther away. Boise will be favored no matter who they have behind center I'm sure a lot of people would have said the same thing if someone thought we'd win 9 games and having a chance to go undefeated this year (losing by a total of 15 points in the 4 losses). So it may sound crazy/absurd now, but who knows what will happen. I agree that it's extremely unlikely, but after what happened this year who knows how next year will go. Doesn't mean I expect us to win all our games. What I hope for next season is to see improvement.

While we showed exceptional improvement, our best win was AFA and then no more teams with winning record. I expect us to be able to put up some points on BSU but have struggles stopping them, something like 17-35. Next years team maybe better but that doesn't mean the results will

We beat two teams that have winning records and are on the fringes of being in the Top 25. We're not as far from Boise as you think.

My son-in-law is a big Boise State fan. I believe he said that they have quite a few seniors, but should be ok as long as the QB comes back for his senior year. Without him they would be in trouble. I don't think he will leave though because he is not NFL size for a QB so he probably would not go that high in the draft.

Most pundits/scouts do not have him pegged as an NFL QB. Doesn't mean he won't be a good NFL QB, it just means that returning for his senior year is a likely decision, since he is not expected to be drafted in the first two rounds.

If I'm Kellen Moore I'm thinking my stock may be at its peak now. If I stay at BSU for my senior year and blow out my knee or shoulder or whatever, my stock may be worthless. He's got to be thinking of that now.

If I'm Kellen Moore I'm thinking my stock may be at its peak now. If I stay at BSU for my senior year and blow out my knee or shoulder or whatever, my stock may be worthless. He's got to be thinking of that now. He may, but I doubt it. Nfldraftscout.com and other scouting sites/mock drafts don't even have him as a Top 10 QB prospect. He's 6"0 with an average arm. Don't get me wrong. I am not arguing he won't be good in the NFL, I have no clue. I am only stating the public opinion and why I think he stays. It's rare to see a player come out when they aren't expected to go in Top 2 or 3 rounds. Besides, these days even major injuries don't often end a career, due to advancement of medical science. Look at Sam Bradford with his shoulder. If scouts/GMs think you can play, they'll take a flyer on you regardless. I hope when he gets to the NFL he kicks ass. This year, or next. Colt McCoy was a terrific college passer, and fell to the third round ONLY on concerns of height, and arm strength. No character issues. The kid was accurate as hell in college, over 70% completion rate. And look at him, the Cleveland Browns think they got something in him, as a late third rounder. He's played well this year, against some elite defenses. He outplayed Tom Brady when they went head to head. Moore stated himself he plans to return, and I believe him.

I suppose if you think like Matt Leinart you stick around for your senior year. But Leinart wasted that year because he lost out on a year's salary. Kellen Moore will be hard-pressed to improve his quarterback rating over this year and will jeopardize his market value by sticking around. If he's projected as a third round now there's a good chance he becomes a fifth or sixth round next year. Don't forget Bradford was also a junior when he got hurt and decided not to come back for his senior year. And Bradford just might get the Rams into the playoffs next weekend.
