So you want sdsu to become a commuter school and the sports teams to suck again? You forget that a large percentage of aztecs are from places other than san diego. Dumbass.

Aztec Warrior Stadium refurbished and modified to about 60K seats at the West Campus. I can go for that! Don't need 60k as 45k to 50k would be better suited for our attendance history. It would also be a fit for the ever shrinking Holiday Bowl and the growing Poinsettia bowl. I agree that a stadium for the Aztecs would be just right at 42K to 50K. The Q was 52,000 for many years as I recall (the Murph). A major point is that the Q is not a permanent solution for either the Chargers or Aztecs. If the Chargers stay they probably go downtown. If they go to LA then maybe the Aztecs build a new stadium on present site or on campus. That seems to be the line of thinking here. I have seen no talk here of an expansion team or another present pro team moving here if the Chargers leave. I can't imagine how that stadium gets built.

Don't really understand this thread. How can you be San Diego fan and not root for the Chargers, the hometown team? Also, did you ever think that if the Aztecs played in a new NFL stadium that it would be a great recruiting tool? The Aztecs are the true hometown team. The Chargers are just a business that will be happy to relocate to where they can make the most money. If some city offers big bucks for them to move they will be gone. The Aztecs are not for sale to the highest bidder. I live and own real property in the City of San Diego. I do not want my taxes to support a business that should support itself, mine does. I am done with corporate welfare for billionaires
