Looking forward to another season of High School Football. I always have low expectation for my local team, but they seem to exceed my guess each year. Last year I thought would be a real down year due to the loss of some great players from a CIF Champ team. They made it all the way to the CIF finals before losing badly.
This year I feel a little more optomistic since VC has at least two major college prospects and the defense is always very well coached and plays with heart. Still question marks at QB. I will be an interested observer at the SDSU passing league coming up in a couple weeks.

Win,
Below are the proposed members of Division IV football for the 2010 season. Which four do you project as the semi finalists?
Also, the new school Del Norte High will compete in D IV without Senior leadership, but a very good Coach (Jerry Ralph, former Saints and Santana Coach). Could be a dark horse.

Mission Bay is always tough. I really know very little about any of the schools other than Valley Center. We will know a little more about the skill position players after the passing leagues this next month or so. Valley Center should be very good on defense and they have a great coaching staff led by former Aztec Rob Gilster.

Not sure on the spelling, but he was a holy terror last year in running things down from the backside.

Not sure on the spelling, but he was a holy terror last year in running things down from the backside. He is gone and so is Thomas. You might not have noticed Thomas so much since he only played hard about one down in three, but that down was usually outstanding. I don't think either guy had the grades to go on.

Win- anything happen with VC's rb from last season? He is still not going anywhere for sure, but some small school back east like New Hampshire or maybe Cornell has offered. He turned down Air Force because he thought Cal Poly was going to offer. He is really not as impressive when you see him lift or do other things. He has no upper body development. Good kid, but not that hard of a worker. Hard to tell for sure, but I think this years RB will be better.

He may not pass the eye chart, but he kept the chains moving on the field. Hey Strasburg was not a hard worker either when he got to State. People can change.

My understanding was that since he is a farm/ranch kid that Cal Poly was his dream school, but now he wishes he had that Air Force offer in hand. You are right about how he performed vs how he looked. He had 49 carries in one game last year and gained some huge yardage.
