I do think that the success of the basketball team will lead to more Poinsettia Bowl tickets sold. People are all about the Aztecs right now!

I think the "official" capacity for the Poinsettia Bowl is 54K. So, yes, sellout is possible.

Short of a really cool firework show AFTER the game...recent Aztecs have never seen a crowd like this!

Assuming 50,000 people for the Pointsettia Bowl, how many people will have attended an Aztec sporting event in December?

The Poinsettia Bowl should have an official ticket counter on their website. Over 50K would be sweet.

I guess Binky is limiting the crowd to 54k...and they will call that a sellout?
If they do, Binky needs to go back to school and take some econ classes.
Better yet....Heil Binky!!!

They usually don't sell the obstructed view seats on the field level. In fact, they use the same tarps to cover those seats that they used for the Super Bowl.

The 49K is sold not distributed. Was Speaking to a few people in the Downtown Business Scene and they said that the corp tickets that were allotted for being sponsors were gone on day one for the point and they still have tickets for the Holiday Bowl.

Honestly, if I were a neutral, disinterested observer wanting to attend a college bowl game just for the fun of it, and I had a choice between the Holiday and Poinsettia, I'd choose the Poinsettia too. It's gonna be a much better, more entertaining game between two good teams. UW us just awful, and is gonna get rolled by a pretty mediocre Nebraska team. The Poinsettia has had the better of the matchups in the last few years, beginning with the TCU-Boise St. game. Utah and Cal was the better game last year, and SDSU-Navy will be FAR better this year. Hell, I can't even remember who played in the Holiday Bowl the last few years! And that's supposed to be the premier game?
