Totally agree. Wicker isn't listening . Why aren't there any canopies at Viejas ? They spent all the $$$ re-sodding Snapdragon.

Strength and conditiining doesn't prevent a roilled ankle which is very common in BB. If you step on a foot while coming down with your weight you will turn an ankle. Actually there are a lot of exercises you can do to strengthen the muscles, tendons and ligament support to reduce the chance of rolled ankles. Most are the ones you use in PT coming back from ankle injuries. I read a fascinating article years ago about high top sneakers and if they better support the ankle and therefore help reduce ankle injuries. The article said from a pure support perspective, high top sneakers technically don't help prevent sprained ankles from happening in a "support" fashion. What high tops do help us with is what's called "proprioception" which is the body's ability to sense its position and movement in space, without relying on visual input. It's a subconscious process that's essential for balance, motor learning, and preventing injury. So high tops help your brain sense you are starting to roll your ankle and adapt to prevent or lessen the severity of an ankle injury. Tape or braces are different in that they support but also can constrict or hold things in place better, but many don't like the feeling that it has to be pretty tight to give ample support. When I played I went back and forth ... I taped in HS early, then started taping in games only, then flipped it the opposite to only taking in practices ... to eventually not taping in college. I had my worst ankle injury in a game rolling my taped ankle getting tackled. I stretch ligaments and had a hairline fracture that had me in a cast for a month, missing 4 games Anyhoo, hoping Miles gets back at full strength ASAP, as we sure will need him. We are now without arguably our 2 best players that I have the most faith in, especially in these upcoming big games.

We’ve had pretty good health over the years, not worried about the strength and conditioning program. You aren’t going to stay 100% healthy[/quot For anyone who has ever played the game, strength and conditioning really doesn’t prevent ankle sprains so let’s not go there!
