At halftime Nevada leads 21-17. Nevada is quite good. They beat OSU last week a team that dominated the Aztecs. Nevada has a first year coach and his team is clearly better coached than the Aztecs. They also have a QB who can run and pass and looks very good.
Fresno on the other hand does notl ook very good. their QB has I think a weak arm and throws lots of lob type passes. Tney do have a true Freshman RB who looks very promising.

Nevada is one dimensional. Their offense is basically veer. If Choate can add in the veer and shoot, they could be dangerous. But tonight showed once again they do not have the WR’s or QB’s to run the veer and shoot. They hit some shots tonight, but nowhere enough to be effective.
Choate is showing to be a good coach, but he has a bunch of his offense on tape now. How can he add in wrinkles from here will be a test. If his defense doesn’t get turn overs, they are in danger.
A lot of criticism, but I am a fan of Choate as a coach.

The Aztecs pass rush is gonna feast vs Fresno if that's their typical effort on the OLine

Both those teams are middling just like us…
I think Choate will be a solid hire for a decent MWC team.
