SDSU has been playing football since the 1920's. Yet, two weeks ago vs Hawai'i was the FIRST time there has been a Spanish language broadcast of a football game. The broadcast was available on goaztecs.com and the SDSU Athletics app. Sons of Montezuma, in our media network of shows, has College sports 1st Spanish language podcast. Naturally we interviewed Tony Alvarez the play by play man on the game and boy did he do a great job. If SDSU truly is a bi-national University there is no reason why SDSU's 1st Spanish language football broadcast with Tony Alvarez. sonsofmontezuma.com/2024/10/18/sdsus-1st-spanish-language-football-broadcast-with-tony-alvarez/Video Preview

I came across that during the game. I speak a little Spanish. It was fun trying to understand the broadcast.

it sure wouldn't hurt to attract Spanish speaking fans - yes realize they love Soccer but they also got quite involved in Chargers football and that could be an area of growth for SDSU football
