In addition Lewis seems to feel he owes it to the transfer RB to run him as much as possible - sometimes putting the offense in third and long situations not exactly the easiest for a freshman QB
Did notice you have that SDSU lost transfers - were there more then one transfer ? or was it add the reserve OL to the list of other transfers
Do guess that playing against WSU defense will be even more difficult then Hawaii and Wyoming

You said, "I get players looking out for their own best interests, but departing in the middle of the season leaves a sour taste in the mouths of many Aztecs faithful." I have been thinking it's a little shady, or at least gaming the system, when you're getting reasonable playing time and bail after getting your 4 allowed games without losing a season of eligibility.
Maybe a player should refund part or all of their scholarship money in a case like that.

I agree. Makes perfect sense, which is why it would never happen.

Breach of contract? A refund sounds fair. Oldie Out

Nothing earth shattering but I got some news from a former player:
Players are being recruited now by bigtime schools especially on defense. Not a surprise, the transfer portal and nil is a complete mess.
However, players are not happy with coach. I didn't get into that much. Figured that is in house stuff and not my business.

The Aztecs will lose their QB to the Portal just like they have previously lost their stars to the Portal
If Danny stays beyond his Soph season I will be shocked. Especially since P4 qb's are knocking down six figure NIL deals.
Enjoy him while he's here.

Even more likely SDSU to lose their top defensive player White after this season - the coaches realized that he was needed to rush the QB so they moved him from LB to Edge rusher and he has produced
Could an answer be to eliminate if you only play in 4 games and you keep your red shirt season - If a player makes the squad and earns his scholarship and NIL money then no matter how many games you play it counts as a year played
Or maybe if you transfer out you lose a year But if you return to the same school you get the red shirt season
Let's be real almost every rule favors the Power Schools and they will exploit it as often as they choose to
The Power schools will expand their thoughts that the Non Power Schools are their Farm System -

The NIL money is just a short term gift. If they're not the starters where they transfer then good luck in their pro pursuit as a FA. They can get the exposure at our level or sit on the bench at the higher level. Pro scouts are present at all levels.
