Interesting to see how the Vanderbilt QB felt he was misrepresented by a big sports brand and his NIL use. You would think at that high level of CFB, the details would be clear to the starting QB and the team. Vanderbilt QB Disputes NIL DealAt Sons of Montezuma, we don't have that problem. We've been fortunate to be the 1st NIL creator for SDSU FB and have an OFFICIAL NIL deal with QB Danny O'Neil, that we are grateful for his willingness to work with us. We here at SoM try to reward upperclassmen first, for all their hard work they put in the program over time. But knowing O'Neil came with Coach Lewis here and then seeing the arm talent he has, we knew we had to show some love. It's exciting to watch him out there perform as a true freshman, the likes of which SDSU has not had at that position in quite some time. Check out his items in our shop, along with Eric Butler, Ross Ulugalu-Maseuli, and more to support the young men if possible this season! Just curious.. how many players on SDSU football have exclusive NIL deals? Sons of Montezuma currently has 10 football players on our NIL team, which is the largest amount we've had in one season. So we're really excited about our growth in that aspect. None of these deals are exclusive, as we want every player to have multiple options of earning for themselves in a free market. So each player can still benefit from other merchandise retailers. We just happen to be the original Aztecs owned/inspired brand to do so. Hope that answers your question. Not sure about any other exclusive deals any players may have with other brands in other industries.
