How tall is Ty Detmeyer? Annoyingly, he’s still the best college quarterback I’ve ever seen.

O’Neil has been very efficient. No Int’s, no dangerous throws, and a quick release.
He has been a quick learner.
He has limited mobility with his injury and it will be interesting once he can make the defense respect the RPO.
Good on the young man.

hey, how the dogs doing? you know they kind of freak out during Aztec games (for some strange reason?) asking for a friend (Woof, Woof) Bug, the old girl has gone deaf so she's non-impacted by yelling. The other two think it's me getting ready to play outside with them so they go nuts and then act sad when I sit back down to watch the game. So naturally, I have to pause it and play for a few minutes 😂 Did last season have anything to do with Bug's issues? Roomer also is your HOA is looking to make new restrictions for better insulation on YOUR house.

Meh. Struggles to make big throws and is a game manager. Lacks speed and it appears he is trying his best to be one and done. If he wins 5 or 6 straignt games he will be gone and if he continues being a game manager he will be back next year.

He's got a really good football IQ, as well. Most of the time he knows when to throw it away, or throw it where only his receiver can catch it. He's only going to get better with time. Half the battle is the IQ, and like I said, he's got a very good one.

Made the throw against CMU that would have put us up 9 late, but Brown dropped it… Made the right throws on the last drive to win the Hawaii game

When I first moved in back in 2008, someone tossed a melon outside my trash bin on the street on trash day. I come home, see the melon, toss it in my bin and roll it back into my backyard. I had to get a package off the front porch and that's when I saw their note. It was warning me to pick up the melon within 24 hours or face fines. So some HOA AH saw the melon, drove back to the office, wrote and printed the letter on HOA letterhead and returned to put it on my door. Instead of simply throwing the offending f'n melon away. I still hate the HOA based on that first impression

My only negative observation is that he's a bit slow on the RPO reads. He needs to either hand off the ball or keep it, but the delay in processing time is a killer for our run game at some key moments. I have a feeling that will improve with experience.

We have a bigger problem with the oline, not the QB. Right now, there seems to be a slight hesitation for those runs up the middle because the oline and RB are not in sync. The defense has time to adjust. I think the oline needs to bullrush the dline quicker. If we improve our running game that'll open up our passing game. So at this stage having a decent QB is a crapshoot.

Enjoy him for what he is this season.
He will get a bigger NIL offer and be gone.
Period.
Btw, what is States FB NIL this year ? Last couple years it was only $2,500 per year. It's no wonder half our roster transfers out every year and after Spring Ball.

Concur, I remember it was mentioned somewhere his accuracy was better than Florida State transfer AJ Duffy's in preseason, which probably helped him get the nod. He will continue to get better and comfortable, all while getting valuable D1 game experience. He should be a huge asset next season with all this trial by fire behind him. Oldie Out

It's no wonder half our roster transfers out every year and after Spring Ball. A lot of those post-spring "transfers" are modern day cuts. Not everyone goes to a P4. A lot end up in FCS or nowhere. Some see the writing on the wall after the spring game and want to move to a level below for PT if they're upperclassmen O'Neill will definitely be turning down six-figures if he comes back to the Mesa next season though

Just like Matthew Sluka at UNLV? ? ? An FCS guy coming to the MWC would not be the same as a MWC guy getting a P4 offer is it really that different? FCS stud for 4 years MVP .... and O'Neil is an average guy in the WWC right now. I understand upside but Sluka has a 4 year proven track record. Curious to find out what really happened, promised $100K and got 3K ? ? ? something is missing UNLV can not be that stupid word gets out and NO ONE will transfer there in the future
