Unfortunately NLDS game 1 (Padres vs. Dodgers) will start about 30 minutes after kick-off. I'm sure that will have some impact to attendance.

I went on Stubhub an hour ago to check prices and... $72 were the cheapest. I laughed. Aztec since 1959. I'm sorry to say that this year, they could give me the $72 to go but I'd still stay home to watch the Padres. I remember buying season tickets for around $100. the whole season, not one game.. the football was exciting and the Aztecs were winning. at my age I can say, "BACK IN THE OLD DAYS."

I remember during Lugie's rein, they had 5 for $125? I got hooked, after adding 2 or 3 packages, I ended up with 26 season tix for a couple years. The total would be a down payment for my 9 now?

31,307 announced. 22,318 turnstile. It looked respectable on the tube, depending on the angle.

Where the seats are cheaper, there were butts in them. Still, 22K when the Pads are playing the Dodgers in the NLDS is better than I expected.

Don't know about those numbers, but exceeded my expectations, and a lot stayed late. Maybe not to the end, but......

For us to get announced 30k plus on a night when it was a Padre playoff game against the doyers I am amazed. I always thought we do have potential and hopefully someone in marketing keeps this up. I do like that free 2 ticket thing they did as it seems like it brought more folks who would not have normally come. Now lets do it again and then some against Washington st in a few weeks!

I know us on this board are doing everything we can to bring people to games so I'm glad marketing is doing their part.

Yes, the free tickets to season ticket holders should be continued as well as other incentives to get people to attend. Need to, once again, look at pricing for the next season. The Padres drew over 47K for the two games against the Braves and will likely see that again these next two games. And that is a ballpark that seats just over 43K. San Diegans will attend if the product on the field is good and entertaining.

The attendance figures really surprised me. I only figured on half. But the Adminisration needs to drop all the gimmicks and tremendously lower the damn prices. Stack it high and sell it cheap.

The Padres have really taken advantage of the reconfigured Gallagher Square.
