Man, the loss of Azzopardi and Simmons are still devastating. I did not know that our LT tore his ACL. As for our DL/LB, hopefully, this means next man up and we will see more of Moon and Henderson this game.

The excuses are tiresome. Every football team is banged up. Part of the game.that’s why you recruit depth. If you are losing, you did a lousy job of coaching.

Josh Simmons is referred to as a "project." Here's a 2nd mock draft I've looked at that has Simmons at the bottom of the 1st round: 32. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS: T JOSH SIMMONS, OHIO STATEIt seems likely the Chiefs could be exploring offensive tackle options again this offseason, even after drafting Kingsley Suamataia. While they’re not giving up on him by any means, the blocking needs to improve from what we’ve seen through the first four weeks. I'm high on Simmons, whose movement skills are very fluid for a big man. He has put up an 86.4 pass-blocking grade. www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-mock-draft-jaguars-wr-cb-travis-hunter-no-1-overall-qb-shedeur-sanders-las-vegas-raiders

Simmons' propensity for penalties especially procedure penalties would make him an ideal lineman for coach Lewis

How bad are things? Aztec game preview in SD/LAUT is on page 8, in sports section! Last page! Behind The Padres(of course), Wave, college, HS, NBA exhibition stories. Just before the obituaries.

Next man up and coach him up, that's what we have to work with.

On one hand I wonder how much better our line would be with Simmons were still here ? on the other hand I wonder if we might have the all time NCAA record for penalties if he were still here.
