Thank you for showing you think having an offense means you can't have a defense. Stand by Hoke's house with a boom box over your head. He will make everything right. I'm all for having a modern offense. Mac and Cheese is running the essentially the same offense but only mixes in tempo. He controlled the top by and manufactured a win for his squad. He is running a gimmick offense, a 2-minute offense for all four quarters. I want competency, regardless of the offense. I think JD went this "innovator" because people want to be entertained. The guy can talk, thats all JD needed as he thought he was hiring a PR guy vice a football coach. We all defended Lewis when Prime shitcanned him but Colorado is looking with 49 pts (3-1) good and we look like $#!+. JD wicker wouldnt hire Saban if he came to him. He can close a business deal ill give him that but this hire looks very bad. Why with a new stadium and PAC12 we let the Kent State/Colorado reject come here is beyond me. |

Also, why only Cooper? Why not gve Armstred and Sutton some carries - fresh legs may break some tackles. Like Copper fine but it seems odd that he gets 100% of the carries. Inexperience coach. Guy has his favorites but ain't playing his best players. He is not an offensive guru and this loss is on him. The defense won the game for him 3 times and still manage to lose. That was pretty much the season. He has nothing to lose from here on out. Anytime we are inside the 35 we are going for it. The loser mentality starts with the head coach. Three weeks ago he was in the opposite scenerio and decided to wave the white flag. The surrender 4th quarter of the Oregon State game and this game's play not to win make me very concerned. As a first year coach you should be going for it by throwing the pass on 3rd and goal. At least we can say he tried to win then if we ended up losing. Instead he plays for a FG with a kicker who missed a 33 yarder. |

Time for a right footed kicker vs a left footed kicker discussion. It is about mechanics being a right footed kicker should kick from the right hash mark and a left footed kicker from the left harsh mark. Teams have lost games like SDSU did today based on the opposite hash mark kicking. The CMU kicker today is the exception to this comment and he nailed that game winning kick.

I just want Lewis to not talk super fast and do stupid coach talk and really explain how he screwed this game up and what he will do in the future to not make crappy mistakes like this again. I thought the players played well. They did everything they were asked to do and played fairly mistake free. That gives me hope. I just need to hear accountability from the coaches, especially Lewis. They played well enough to win. Everybody except the kicker They played well enough to win. Everybody except the HEAD COACH. There, FIFY. |

I can't think of another reason why forcing that amount of unproductive carries on one player. Possibly because he thinks overall production will build a resume for it. JMO |

Yeah, he isn't an NFL back. Not close. What's too bad is Lewis hosed him today. 34 carries?! For only 111 yards??!! Take out his one 47 yarder we saw Lewis dialed Cooper up 33 carries for 64 yards ... 1.9 yds/carry??!!! Was he even watching, or paying attention?? Wouldn't it have been better if he had, oh I don't know, 20-22 carries? You give Davis and Sutton 4-5 carries each, some change of pace for the defense to deal with? Maybe throw a little more in the 2H?? It was clear there was nothing there for Cooper, when he was in there, 8-9 in the box, the middle of the field was so congested. Clueless Lewis. |

We were even +2 in turnovers and still lost. It wasn't just the kicker, the entire team was terrible against a subpar opponent. It's all coaching. at half time we were dead even in the team stats +/- 2 yards with them, but they were holding a 7-8 mins in time of position difference. Second half the wheels didn't just fall off, they were taken off and sold (real fast!) by Coach Lewis for some strange reason. |

Lewis is no Chuck Long. Long understood the deficiencies
in the program but was not a leader of men . Many of
the programs deficiencies Long identified have been fixed.
Lewis is a man today’s players will follow. We just lost too
much in the OL , the part of the team that takes
the longest to develop.
We lost this game like the others because the OL
is not consistently competitive.CM mostly defeated
them in the run game. The players we have on the OL are not
good enough. No amount of coaching can fix that.
I don’t see any MWC defense being worse than CM.
After watching the first game in person I was concerned. After today
I’m not sure where any wins are coming from.

Who left Rocky Long back in the building. 3 straight run with essentially 4 time outs for an experience HC across the sideline. rocky wins this game by 21. Not without a FG kicker he wouldn't. |

I think Wicker tried to find a coach as different from Hoke as he could find. Hoke was slow, checked out, could barely be bothered to talk in genuine thoughtful sentences and paragraphs. Plus the unbelievably slow O, eroding D. Wicker fell for a shiny new object as far away from Hoke as he could. This guy might be worse, which is unfathomable. As bad as Hoke had become, he was bad for different reasons. Hoke was bad. I never saw Hoke make this mountain of bad decisions in one half that, IMO, Lewis made today. |

Hawaii will kick their AZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZtecs next week. You haven't watched Hawaii. Don't kid yourself. This is Lobo bad. UNR the previous two years bad. Who put the hex on this program ? We went 12-2 on 2021 and it has been trip, stumble, fall into a hole, fall deeper into hole and despite the excitement of the new PAC announcement, it feels like that if help gets to me, it's going to be a long time before they get here. One and a half more years of this garbage ? I wonder how many pedestrian Schools will get to six wins because they beat this FCS program ? Sigh |

Time for a real football game – Georgia vs Alabama. What we witnessed was really bad football and Coaching in the second half. If I was the AD, Lewis doesn't get on the plane home. Fire the guy, now. Before it's to late. This can be a FB program killer before we even get a shot at the Pac. |

I'm seriously losing my confidence in coach Lewis. Cooper was totally ineffective today. If you take away that one 47 yard gain, he had 71 yards on 33 carries, a really sad average of 2.1 yards per carry. Some could argue Cooper is overrated, I personally think he is out of gas because he plays every down with what is supposed to be an "Aztec Fast" offense. Sutton and Armstead should at least get 10 combined carries per game. Put Cooper's ego aside and give the kid a breather once in a while! And also, where is Mekhi Shaw??? WR Nate Bennett #11 seems to have pretty good hands why not throw his way a little more? Jude Law owned the CMU secondary in the first half. And Lewis chooses to run hurry up and run the ball. Aztec time of possession 24:33 wtf ? |

I believe in Coach Lew long term, decent recruiting class coming in, need to add some impact transfers. Bad Coaching causes good talent to lose. |
