These 7 schools are fighting against a whole lot of entities at the moment, the ncaa would be no different. You know what’s so outrageous? The entire college football community is out here calling Washington State, Oregon State, and the remaining Pac-6 greedy, claiming they should just accept a Mountain West/Pac merger. Sure, that might sound logical, but it’s far from knowledgeable. The real greed has been from the likes of UCLA and USC jumping ship to the Big Ten for fatter paychecks, Oklahoma and Texas heading to the SEC for the cash grab and exposure, and the four corner schools running to the Big 12 for, you guessed it—more money, more money, more money and a fear of being left behind. WSU and OSU dis not rebuilding the Pac for greed—they doing it for survival. They're not accepting relegation. They fought in court, won $255 million, retained the Pac-12 branding and assets and even the TV studio, and now they’re standing up for schools that want more than the status quo of being a Group of 5 as an afterthought. This is a true American underdog story. Yet, despite all that, the press, clueless commentators, and TV broadcasters keep saying, "Just merge, or give up." That’s not in the DNA of any of the Pac-6 schools. In a country split between the haves and have-nots, why bow down to the haves and settle for the scraps tossed at the G5? It’s time to rise up! Screw them all, find a partner and move onward & upward. Amen

The merger talk is from east coast people that don’t watch west coast football. The way the two conferences are now The Pac 12 loaded compared to the MW. Go listen to Gary Parish lay out why the Pac 12 is better than the AAC. The MW is the FBS version of the Big Sky conference. Their Flag Ship schools are UNLV and Air Force. Their tv deal is going to be 1 to 2 million per school. They won’t be able to survive long term on that. They will fold with in 5 years. The merger talk is 🐂💩 from people that are educated on the situation.

We do not know which schools want to apply to the PAC12. That can say a lot about why we are not taking schools like UNLV and Air Force. I feel like there is a big plan developing and it involves Gonzaga and UConn. Now we know the cost get the AAC teams could there be a better offer we give them to jump in 2027

What the hell is Clutch Points? And just like that, it’s 2AM, the bar’s closing, and UTEP and Texas State are out here fumbling like they’ve never ordered a last call drink in their lives. Do you drop a dollar in the jukebox for one more sad song, or make a mad dash for the door? Meanwhile, Tulane and Memphis already noped out of the scene. But hey, maybe “no means, not tonight” really means, “let’s see where this goes later.” Now, do you take Texas home, or go all out for Memphis dinner-and-a-show special? Just know, Dad (AAC) is waiting up with the porch light on—he’s already grounded her once, but rumor has it, he slipped her some extra cash. Uncle (ESPN) Yeah, he’s the one keeping Dad's bank account topped off. And over at the Mountain West, they’re lining up the uglies (NMSU, UTEP, Sac State and the FCS twins (Hannah Fannana & Dakota Montanning ) for a beauty pageant, hoping no one notices the stage lights are flickering.

Memphis AD said they didn't counter, said there was not enough time. Crazy. Maybe he will find the time to counter or crazy thought ask for more time.

Memphis AD said they didn't counter, said there was not enough time. Crazy. Maybe he will find the time to counter or crazy thought ask for more time. Seems like the PAC overvalued their brand again and gave a lot of teams take it or leave it offers who chose to leave. Their arrogance cost them a deal with ESPN that ended up going to the Big-12 and now cost them a decent 8th team. Tough to blame Memphis for not jumping at an offer that doesn’t guarantee they’ll earn more than they can get from the AAC. Any 8th team will make the PAC an improvement over the MWC, but OSU and WSU leadership are MWC level incompetent.

I think we end up with Memphis ( just need to up the offer) . DO we stop at 8 football and then add Gonzaga or does Memphis need a travel partner ie. Tulane ?

I certainly do NOT want anything to do with El Paso. Most of Texas doesn't want El Paso. Twice, the state has tried to put El Paso in a different time zone. I think they'd give that part of their state to New Mexico, they'd take them.
