Are you confirming it does not make any difference who gets elected in November? No, I'm saying that 40-50% of Americans are dumb as a rock and can be manipulated like silly putty. Strippers, MMA and conspiracy theorists > Einstein, the great scientists, the greatest musicians that ever lived etc. the dumbing down is accelerating...and some are benefitting directly because of it. "I love the poorly educated"....for a reason. Social media, and in particular, X, is exasperating the problem. Musk and Trump are taking down democracy by the sheer weight of their horrific messaging, and the effect that is having on the mind fatigue that ordinary citizens are feeling. We may or may not dodge the Agent Orange train wreck this election cycle, but we have some much further to go with educating the general public about what representative democracy is supposed to be. If that ever happens then perhaps we can truly have a two party system that works for the American people. Where have all the Civics classes gone?

If oligarchs are controlling all of the media, and funding the Democratic and Republican parties, what does that make the American people? You do realize that CNN got new ownership last year, right? The new ownership made changes to CNN moving them back to the center. FOX News is the most biased major media network. MSNBC is a close 2nd. CNN is the closest to neutral/center that there is (which is what they were, historically, until Trump started attacking them with falsehoods, at which point they became anti-Trump since he was falsely accusing them of variouis unethical things that they weren't doing). But over the last year CNN went out of their way to put on Trump's supporters/allies in segments covering him. CNN even went after Biden this year, especially after the June debate. So, CNN - closest to the center. FOX News - Extremely biased, even promoting lies (got themselves sued, too). MSNBC - biased the other way (never presented lies as facts, though, unlike FOX News). But CNN? They're the most credible of the cable news outlets. Those are just the facts. CNN looked more center when the DNC powers were kicking Biden out of the Party. Then quickly moved very left. Their threat to democracy rhetoric is promoting hate towards Conservatives and Republicans. Not sure where your center is to think CNN is not biased with their obvious hate towards Trump. Too many Harris lies go unchecked at CNN for them to be considered legitimate. ABC and CNN has same ownership. I was fortunate to take a Business Ethics Class at SDSU. Part of that class helped identify media agendas and bias. There is a reason CNN gets called the "Chinese News Network" or the "Cartoon News Network" Advance Media Group companies are who they are; for profit tool for oligarchs, and not without bias.

He incited an attack on the Capitol to stop the certification of that election. Saying he is a threat to Democracy isn't a lie. It isn't hate speech. It's the truth - it is factually accurate. Project 2025 is from HIS people, and will absolutely be implemented by him if he gets elected. So let's drop that bull$#!+ about Trump being a threat to Democracy being hate speech towards conservatives or Republicans. It's not. It's the truth.

Speaking of hate speech, JD Vance admits that the story out of Ohio is an urban legend and says this..
Yeah, I don't think the Dems are the issue.

And again speaking of hate speech, Trump brought Laura Loomer to a 9/11 rememberance event, the same Laura Loomer that created the fake Joe Biden emergency story, the fake Joe Biden death story, the 9/11 conspiracy theory story and many, many others.

There are some disturbing trends of political corruption that pose as the main threats to our Democracy, and its clearly not Trump because he it a Capitalist by all accounts. I see the biggest threats to our Democracy is Neo-Feudalism and Socialism. Just take a look at the Bill Gates, Sam Altman and Oprah commercials on AI to get a clue what politicians they are funding and what is to come. What a surprise that the AI Oprah special was on ABC! A solution to some of the root causes of these issues, and various proxy wars around the Globe would be to fix the The Trading with the Enemy Act (TWEA) of 1917 that was amended in the Banking Act of 1933 giving the President the ability to use the Enemy Act (TWEA) of 1917 against "perceived enemy nations" during peacetime. Also, what could be viewed as the biggest attack of American Democracy is President Roosevelt's Executive Order 6102 confiscating gold. That Executive Order was a direct violation of the 14th Amendment. The Congress at that time was overwhelmingly Democratic, and historians have viewed the reason for this order to only to bail out the privately owned Federal Reserve. I think the mindset of the current Democrat Party leadership is depicted by Hillary Clinton when she said "Never waste a good crisis" Having enemy and creating a crisis is paramount to instilling fear to have American Citizens give up their rights just for some form of calm and peace. Its hard to get back your freedoms once they are gone.

Doesn't take a genius to connect basic dots when there's over 100 different connections between Trump's orbit and Project 2025. The conspiracies are unnecessary.

Because it is painfully obvious that as he doesn't have an agenda otherwise (concepts of a plan) he will push Project 2025. It was developed by HIS people. It is clear it was developed for him to implement as just about no one else would do it. Let's not be stupid or disingenous here. This is the de facto Trump plan. So, Trump isn't a threat to Democracy, despite his attempt to overturn Democracy. Got it. He spent two months trying to overturn Democracy, even going so far as to plan an insurrection in advance. (His own tweet indicated he knew there would be violence, "Will be wild!") See, your bull$#!+ about Democrats being a threat to Democracy is what makes you completely NON credible. They have never tried to overturn a valid election. Even in 2000 when there were some questions in Florida, Gore conceded after the Supreme Court ruled. Even though some people had serious legal reservations about the correctness of that decision, Gore didn't call for a rally on the day of the election's certification. He didn't send people to the Capitol to violently attack Congress. Trump did 20 years later, but Gore didn't. The Democrats have NEVER subverted Democracy the way Trump did and promises to in the future. So stop with the nonsense. Please. You should know better. And if you don't it's just sad. Remember, I was a registered, DIE HARD Republican from 1986 until 2021. 35 years of unfailing, unwavering support. I'm not a left wing liberal. But I became disgusted with my party when I recognized that MY side had become the bad guys. The Republican Party desperately needs Trump to lose so they can tear MAGA down and rebuild the party into what it was up until Trump took over.

It goes so, so much deeper.
Local municipalities (Republican-controlled) are making it harder for non-Republicans to vote. Legal challenges in Texas are underway, for example, on at least one college campus that wants to use unique ID's to register for voting purposes.
Intimidation of public officials that we've already seen in Georgia and other places for doing their jobs, counting votes and keeping the public informed.
Disenfranchisement of voters in Harris County, which is one of the top five largest in the country, just so happens also to be a Democrat stronghold.
Issues in North Carolina and Georgia already arising, giving legal loopholes to throw out ballots.
The threats to democracy are on the Republican side.

I'm sorry, but there is no other way to put it other than the Republicans have become the Bad Guys - the anti-Democratic party. Look at what they're doing in Texas! Trying to get Democrats removed from voter rolls. They already closed down dozens of polling places in Black and Hispanic neighborhoods over the last few years, making it harder for minorities to vote. Is that the kind of Party that you want to support, aztecbrothers?

As and example, if one gets all there information from a single source like CNN. No mater how thin the paper is, there are at least 2 sides. Might be six with thick paper. I have a diverse base that I socialize with. Plenty of Hispanic, Black, Indian and a friend that escaped Cambodia that told me the story of the guide getting he legs blown off by a claymore mine and walking past piles of bodies. They wanted to get to America and went through the proper process. I have not heard of any legal U.S Citizen say they could not vote, or that a Republican prevented them from voting. Sounds a little like the urban myth of Hattians eating cats.

FYI - Democrats don't close polling places in Republican majority districts. Republicans HAVE closed polling places in Democratic majority districts. I'm sorry, but the Republicans have become bad guys - authoritarians, totalitarians subverting democracy and the will of the people. Perused the Gradian article from 2020. The thing about some of these issues is that they can be isolated incidents that are made to look like systemic problem. I looked up the editor and found that she is working on being self aware of her own bias: Episode #48: Betsy By Herself on Confronting Her Own Implicit Biases Oct 17 In this episode, I’ll break down what implicit biases are, how they cause unconscious discrimination, impact relationships, and how we interact with the world. See how you can discover your own biases (because we all have them) so you can address them and be a bigger and better human. It’s all about conscious awareness of something that is largely unconscious (implicit biases). Knowing that is freeing.
While a lot of people might like to believe that they don’t have any biases, the reality is that we all do, whether we like it or not. Someone might even express explicit disapproval of a certain attitude or belief while still harboring related, unconscious biases. That’s unconsciously stressful because that means we aren’t aligned. (And people can hold positive or even negative associations about their own race, gender, religion, sexuality, or other characteristics.)
The good news is that implicit biases aren’t set in stone. We all have the opportunity to ‘begin again,’ as Buddhism teaches us and which I talk about. It’s always possible to adopt new attitudes, to grow, to change. The first step is awareness. I can’t wait to see the amazing change we can make in the world if we each take a brave look at ourselves and are willing to do some work on anything we find there that doesn’t align with our vision for a better world.
