No, when it's truthful it's truthful...when you're capitalizing on optics to shift narratives without factoring in a criticism of the other side, it's engineered. Specific to this cycle, to be clear. The entire debate of Biden's age completely ignored the fact that the second oldest candidate (now the first) is also, you know, running. There are still people who believe "Russia" was a hoax. There are still people who believe the Mueller Report exonerated Trump. There are still people who believe Trump divested his businesses prior to taking the presidency. There are still people who believe Trump didn't take money from foreign governments. There are still people who believe Trump did not weaponize the AG's office. There are still people who believe Trump was entitled to take classified material from the White House and refuse to return it. We have heard zero calls from a supposedly anti-Trump media to pull out of the race. Zero. Not after any campaign rally event when it goes off the rails, not after the trial in New York, not after the *other* trial in New York, not anywhere. As I said before, the media and corporate entities have normalized the behavior of the former president to the degree that it's no longer considered newsworthy to report on it. |

Thankfully, Trump has realized his mistake regarding Kamala. Would be unusual for a guy who doesn't really realize when he's stepped in it...or doesn't care. Apparently, he didn't pay much attention to the type of DA she was in San Francisco. My cousin worked for many years in a neighboring county's DA office as an assistant DA--the running joke around Bay Area DA's offices was that Harris couldn't prosecute herself out of a wet paper bag. |
