Calling 50% of the country a cult just shows how far removed you are from any reality. Trump is leading with young educated voters that realize the empty promises from Democrats is only creating a larger wealth gap and further destruction of the American Middle Class and a lifetime of debt. Keep in mind that a wide open boarder helps the Billionaires that need cheap labor; a very Capitalistic perspective. The core of the Democratic Philosophy is based on slavery. Undocumented workers providing cheaper labor that is subsidized with taxpayer money only benefits wealthy business owners. The current slavery concept is also based on financial slavery; their financial programs are heavily promoted by the Democratic Party that keep people in debt. The top 1%ers are not paying these tax dollars no mater what Kamala says; they will be paid by the dwindling Middle Class. Income taxes just create Government waste. The concept of the wealthy just need to pay their fair share is a Democratic Party scam. That slogan has brain washed a bunch of lazy people that only want handouts and help to create a division between the population. Brothers..just to take one of your points..which require deeper analysis. You say the Democrats are creating a bigger wealth gap and destruction of the Middle Class. Last I heard, both Democrats and Republicans who own expensive houses in Pacific Beach, MB and LA Jolla equally go the VRBO / Air BB route to make more $. Same with corporations buying houses, thus driving up costs. These patterns have been going on for many years..(maybe late 80's to early 90's. Your answer is what? I like this post for a few reasons. There have been many politicians that have switched parties....why? Does politicians switching parties only go one way? The current ex-president ones that come to mind are Regan and Trump. As for property owners with multiple properties, good for them. Why these wealthy people call themselves Democrats given the current trends is interesting and could be dangerous for the financial health. If taxing unrealized Capital Gains gets implemented, and these Democrats are forced to sell their real estate to pay the tax bill, will they comply and stay with the Democratic Party? It seems that most people don't care if it is not in their back yard and happening to someone else. I have mostly heard Republicans complain about their tax dollars being wasted on ineffective social programs. Its not that they don't want to help the less advantaged, they mostly want to directly help the people they feel they can have an impact with their support and money, and not pad politician's pockets. Getting a tax break for donating based on my observations only is necessary for larger Corporations, and specifically Public Corporations that focus on shareholder returns. As a whole, I feel taxes are a huge burden to small business owners, and the working people which only weaken the Middle Class. When income taxes were first introduced, they were only supposed to be for the wealthy. I guess everyone is wealthy now.

I do like the Queen reference, but Freddie might disagree. Edit: That's why I rarely reply to his silly posts.

In California only a protest vote is meaningful. A pile of dog poo would win here if it were a democrat.

Stop, just stop. A post full of lies isn't going to win you any debates, and that post is filled with lies and delusions. The modern Republican Party IS a cult, and Trump is their cult leader. He says and does reprehensible things, and his cult followers lap it up and cheer him on. The stuff Trump has said and done would have gotten him trounced in the primary 30 years ago. Republicans then would have been disgusted with him. Are you also saying that 50% of the Country is a cult? My Aztec Brother, I am not the one drinking the Cool-Aid! Yeah, you really are. You parrot what Trump and his lackeys say every day. You virtually never say a negative word about Trump or any Republican no matter how reprehensible their actions and words are.

If he was joking, why did so many audience members agree that he won in post interviews? cult? incapable of critical thought?

I do believe no republican will ever be governor, US senator or a any republican presidential hopeful carry California. Thus my statement in a previous post, a pile of dog poo would win California if it were a democrat pile. But there's already piles in office.

I do believe no republican will ever be governor, US senator or a any republican presidential hopeful carry California. And why do you think that is? Could it be that rather than finding more common ground with the average California voter and moderating their message the Republicans have become more hardline and focused on issues only far right conservatives support? This is why Trump needs to lose. If he wins, the California Republicans will become even more far right and turn off the average California voter even more. The Republican Party desperately needs Trump to lose. If he wins, and does what we all know he will do, he will relegate the Republican Party to a regional party of the South and MidWest. Republicans will lose both houses of Congress, and will not win the White House again for a long time. IF Trump wins. If he loses? They will have an opportunity to reinvent the party by moderating their policies and become more inclusive and less hyperbolic & ugly.

Not since the early 18 hundreds has there been more divisiveness and hatred. It is to bad this message boards supports the same as 200 years ago. It is what it is and we move on.
One point. If I were still active duty Marine I'd have a VERY difficult time obeying a Comrade Kammie order. Enlistment in the Marine Corps recruiters quota has been reduced to one per month, a number never seen before. The saddest part, the Marine Corps has had to reduce the standard to an idiot level to get anyone to serve because of fear serving under the most literate Kammie.
And for the person not mentioned, save your foolish posts since you are unable to digest facts. Got it Ryan?

How about you start with some negativity about Kamala and the Democratic Party. I was very critical of how the Biden Administration handled the withdrawl from Afghanistan. Granted, Trump put them in that position by negotiating with the Taliban and agreeing to a date to withdraw (which Biden should have negated), but they mistakenly thought the transfer would be somewhat peaceful. Oops. Big mistake. So there you go, something they did that I absolutely do not agree with. In the state of California I don't agree with setting hard date as soon as they did to stop the sale of new ICE vehicles. They were overly ambitious with that plan, and will likely have to revise it or face some minor chaos. There you go, TWO things I disagreed with - right off the top of my head. Now, Trump has said and done a lot of heinous stuff. He's guilty of sexual assault and probable rape. He wanted to have the military shoot civilians. AMERICAN civilians, who were not trying to overthrow the government (they were, rightly, protesting the murder of black people like George Floyd by law enforcement officers). Trump has been using the White House to enrich himself (he supplied the White House with goods and services from his own companies at 3 times the going rate, and had everyone from his Administration and Secret Service stay at Trump Hotels whenever possible, at 3 times the going rate). Trump has used Nazi wording exactly when talking about immigrants (vermin, poisoning the blood). Those are words and phrases that are directly tied to Adolf Hitler. Oh, yeah, and he incited an insurrection against the United States Government. That alone should have put him behind bars (and may yet do so). He should have been disqualified from running for anything in this country after that. But the Republican Kool Aid drinkers still support him. Crazy.

What facts? Again, ARGUE THE MERITS. You can't. You have to make things up that are unverifiable and just say "trust me, it's true." I come across Trump supporters and not one can actually tell me why. It's all fictitious garbage, propped up by fake talking points and silly hyperbole. You think people in the military are proud to serve under the Russian-owned, REAL "Comrade" Donald Trump? That's enough for me to just disqualify everything else you say. It's preposterous.

One thing I keep hearing over the last week is how pollsters got it wrong with Trump really badly in 2016, and still didn't quite get it right in 2020 (Biden won, of course, but the polls showed Biden with a bigger lead going into the election in most states than he ended up with).
Pollsters have been undercounting Trump's support for the last two elections, and they know it.
SO, they have been overcompensating this time, possibly undercounting the Harris support. There are some election pundits who believe that the polls may be wrong in the opposite way of 2016 this time. Harris may just surprise a lot of people come Tuesday night.
We'll see.

This is something that has been going on this year more than any other, so it might explain why most polls seem the same with few outliers, unlike previous years. That was a bit part of the conversation I've been hearing. Herding towards Trump is what they're saying, which may not accurately reflect what will happen tomorrow.

The sad thing for Republicans is that they walk away from this easily with Nikki Haley. Instead, the darkest side of human nature gets tapped: revenge, hate and most surprising to me...just fuggin crazy! I know they will be called fake, but read the "Epstein tapes". Taped before he died. Most of us knew that trump was a bad human being, but he's even worse than can be imagined. Add bad human being to crazy...and we see what we get. Luckily for America, trump has been saying the most self destructive things for months...and it got worse at the end. He loses Tuesday, but I'm afraid of the damage he has caused....and most surprising to me..it was applauded and accepted by so many.
