5.5 wins for SDSU seems high. I'm taking the over, cause I'm selling Kool-Aid.

My prediction: We win 6.5 games and the coaching staff moves to the Big 12. Then I start using football season to travel and visit friends.

I have said that I think 5 wins would be a good season, and still sticking with that. It really comes down to the QB position for me. We just lack experience there.

I have said that I think 5 wins would be a good season, and still sticking with that. It really comes down to the QB position for me. We just lack experience there. As usual my heart and my head are having a very serious argument over this. My head agrees with you that with a new staff and substantial changes in the players that even that small improvement would be very good. Especially if some excitement was brought to the offense.
My heart on the other hand is expecting much better results. It remembers that Coryell took over a program that was 1-6-1 prior to his arrival on campus. His first year record was 7-2-1. That's moving from an 19% winning percentage to a 75% winning percentage. Maybe that happens again.
I do think my head is going to be closer to the final results than my heart. Then again, maybe ...

I'm most concerned about our O and D lines. A few of my track athletes here in AZ are being recruited BY State, NAU, and U of A. They told me NAU had the most size out of all those teams. With us moving to a fast offense, maybe it won't matter how big we are.
GO AZTECS!!!!

I hope I'm wrong, but we play a tough schedule. Secondary is pretty young as well.

would hope that there is a buyout clause but unless SDSU has a very good season doubt the new HC gets that many offers

I hope I'm wrong, but we play a touch schedule. Secondary is pretty young as well. I hope you, and my head, are wrong as well. It's tough to turnaround a program in one year. But look what happened with Utah State basketball this past season. Maybe, just maybe, my heart has a small chance of being right.

Maybe, just maybe, my heart has a small chance of being right. That gives me hope as well, a great coach can do great things with a new team/roster. But of course it's a double-edged sword, as Lewis could be a 1 & done just like Sprinkle.

I'm feeling bad enough about what's going on in college sports in general and the Aztecs in particular. Now you have to remind me of something else bad that could happen.

Crazy to think that UNLV is now considered a preseason loss and hopefully we can pull out a win. Damn, I didn't think I would ever see that in my lifetime. I would like to see us pull out a win vs one of the following: OSU, WSU or CAL. Please let one of these (or 2) be a win!

5.5 wins for SDSU seems high. I'm taking the over, cause I'm selling Kool-Aid. I remember when TOM CRAFT won the second half. SO I know we can win a half a game. I will not take over OR under. I am taking EXACTLY 5.5 games won this season.
