Check out the @arizonambb account on instagram.
The 2nd video (presently) is Keshad Johnson talking about his participation in the NBA draft combine.
At one point, he says that “Tommy Lloyd runs his offense like an NBA offense,” perhaps implying that Brian Dutcher doesn’t. Is he throwing shade at Aztecs basketball?
[sarcasm]I definitely think that those who feel that Aztecs who leave the program have disrespected the program and its fans should comment on the instagram post and take Keshad to task. Those who engage in this type of thing should probably tag Keshad in their comment and tell him how disloyal he has been and, definitely, point out the weaknesses in his game and be sure to mention why he’ll never play in the NBA.[/sarcasm]
C’mon, guys, can Aztec alumni/fans be better than this? Can we all appreciate how incredible it is that we have, for several years, had one of the top programs in the nation?
I am a fan of the former Aztecs who have brought us to this place, even those who have left our program for another.

Yeah, that’s not a strong retort. This is the most worthless post/thread ever. Keshad parents appeared at the Aztec Stanford game in aztec gear and he wasn’t on the team. 1. He is talking to an Arizona site, of course he will prop Arizona 2. The Aztec run a system that is best situated for the team to win, not produce NBA level players. We have to run a system that’s best for the type of players we can recruit. If the players want to take what they learned and then also learn offense system, good for them. Keshad gave 100% at SDSU. You’re either a tool or trying to provoke the tools, either way this thread should be deleted

I can’t wait to see the meltdown on here when Keshad plays in a televised NBA game and they list Arizona as his school.

Look, Keshad benefited tremendously from his time on the Mesa. He knows that. Those 4 years of player development in Dutcher's system created what Keshad saw as a greater opportunity. I don't think that guys like Jalen McD, Malachi Flynn, Jordan Schakel, Jaedon Ledee...oh, and Kawhi, would say that being in the SDSU program lessened their chances at a pro career.
Tommy Lloyd is a different coach than Dutch. Each coach across the country has a different philosophy and style. Dutch is defense minded, and everybody knows that. But, whether with offense or defense, both Fish and Dutch are winners, and everybody knows that too. If you want to develop as a player, there are a lot worse places to get your education than SDSU.
