Hard to feel sorry for any of these people. Rashada bailed on his commitment to Miami, which include an NIL deal for only $9.5 million. Sounds like the University of Florida people weren't the only ones not living up to their promises.

Pretty shocking to me that this offer has gotten so little press or awareness in town. Has anyone seen anything on TV or heard anything on the radio about it?

Pretty rough to barely be halfway to the goal at this point.

Don't understand why Zeigler couldn't put something about in an article or why some of the radio and TV guys, who supposedly love Aztec basketball, don't say something on air.

Pretty rough to barely be halfway to the goal at this point. Not surprising to me at all, in fact I'm pleased to see its hit the 1/2-way mark. Many hardworking folks understandably don't want to support to this new unfettered, run amok FUBAR system (NIL in general, I'm not referring to anything SDSU-specific).

It can be especially deflating when you realize that P5 schools will soon be required to spread at least $20,000,000 a year among their athletes. We got no shot unless we magically get into at least a pseudo-P5 conference.

Felt like a slap in the face, like the donation meant nothing. Again, that's not a knock on those three, but rather the new wild wild west world we're living in.

We got no shot unless we magically get into at least a pseudo-P5 conference. As I understand it the $20 million is the maximum. They are not required to spend that much, if any. Following is a quote from an ESPN article and a link to that article. I bolded where that was said.
"Sources told ESPN that while terms could change, the current proposal would create a spending cap for each power-conference school based on 22% of the average media rights, ticket sales and sponsorship revenue of each power-conference school. Sources say they expect that cap number to be nearly $20 million per school. Schools would not be required to spend that much money on their athletes but would have the option to share up to that $20 million figure with them.

Those leaving, especially Butler and Saunders, were a big blow to me as well. I hadn't donated any money for NIL and this just cemented my decision no to support professional athletes playing college ball, foot or basket. So far I've still renewed my season tickets and have no problems with my money that's going to the Aztec Club or the Athletic Department.
If I had a business that would legitimately benefit from using an athlete for promoting that business I wouldn't have an issue hiring one for that purpose. Just like I wouldn't mind hiring one to work for me in the off season. But the way the collectives are working along with the transfer portal to create nothing more than pay-for-play is not something i feel comfortable supporting. No criticism of those who feel differently about how NIL and the transfer portal are working. That's the thing about this great country of ours, people can disagree.
