I have two regrets about Flynn:
1) Would have loved to have seen him in the NCAA Tournament. We had a legit Final Four squad in 2020.
2) Would have loved if his last-second half-court shot had gone in against USU in the MWC Championship Game. That baby had a chance. I thought it was good for a second from where I was sitting. Drew iron at least. Another three inches and it would've shocked the world.

I read that is 14.4% of his points for the entire season and 4.1% of his points for his NBA career. Provides some context of how great a performance that really was.

Here’s how insane and improbable Flynn’s 50-burger was last night, bench status or not:
He entered the game averaging 5.8 points for the Pistons and 4.6 on the season. The latter is the lowest mark by a player before scoring 50 points in a game. Flynn had scored 286 points on the season, so 14.9 percent of his points this season were scored last night.
Entering last night, Flynn scored 98 points for the Pistons, so roughly one-third of his points with Detroit were accounted for against Atlanta. He now has as many regular season 50-point games as Donovan Mitchell (71) and Nikola Jokić (50) apiece. Fellow Aztec Leonard has never dropped 50 in a game.

Channel surfing last night & somehow stopped at NBA network with Det-Atl playing & thought, "isn't Malachi on Detroit?" Yup.
Don't usually stay to watch NBA games but Malachi was on the floor, it was early 4th & after he scored on a nice bank shot the announcer said he had 35 points. What?
Stayed to watch him score another 10 from assorted shots & damn glad I did. Good for Malachi!
