Cardenas could be a great fit Solid player, who can shoot, is a pass the first PG, and a good decision-maker. 2024 season stats: 31 games, 36 minutes per/game, shooting 46%/39%/81% and 13.2 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 5.5 APG, .9 SPG + he is in the CSU system so most of all classes transfer and have no idea who which schools are interested. He scored 21 & 11 against us in 2024, 8 assists, and 3 TOs. From Granada, Spain. I'm betting he is Catholic and Gonzaga has lured kids away from MWC schools in the past.

It sure sounds like either Sprinkle or Rice gets the Washington job. It is Sprinkle. If WSU Kyle Smith leaves Washington St (kinda looks like it when the reporter ask about a extension) then Rice is the top priority. Smith took the Stanford job.

If Sprinkle leaves I bet Osobor goes with him again. Brown's done though. Can Osobor transfer again without sitting?

I was impressed with Amey when we played SJSU. But I'm sure he's looking for $ and a big school. I would if I was him. Well if he's not looking for money first, I wouldn't mind Dutcher going after him. He's a guy with a high motor that can create his own shot, which we could use. We got to hit on some of these transfers this transfer portal.

All WCC full members are private, faith-based institutions. Seven members are Catholic Church affiliates, with four of these schools being Jesuit institutions. Gonzaga, Loyola, St Mary's, Portland, USD, USF, and Santa Clara. I suppose it could be more than Gonzaga if Catholicism is a criterion. He could also transfer to another CSU system school and not lose credits if that's important. We will see, but he will upgrade from SJSJ.

think that good players that are looking to play in the Pros or at least get to MM - would be looking at the Zags for those reasons rather then religious affiliation
Guys are looking for good solid programs

Jamal Mashburn Jr. leaves New Mexico, enters transfer portal
He earned first-team All-Mountain West honors in 2023 and third-team honors in 2022.
Mashburn averaged 18.2 points as a sophomore and 19.1 last season, leading the Mountain West in scoring at 21.0 points in league play and shooting a career-high 38.2% from 3-point range.
Any chance of him coming to us?

Enrolled and played at Minnesota, then Jr followed Jr to UNM and played 3 years with the Low Blows: 18.2, 19.1, and 14.1 while averaging 29 minutes and missing 8 games. Not sure he is a good fit for the Aztecs, his overall 3-point shooting dropped to 31.7%, on a career 33%. Likes to play hero ball, not known for his defense. Against Clemson, he played 24 minutes shot 1-11, 0-6 from three 4-4 from the line 1 rebound, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks and, sat the final 10 minutes when they made their final run.

He's a black hole on offense, he gets the ball and he shoots the ball.

Making an observation and is just my opinion. Let's see what happens with Butler & Parrish, both have Covid eligibility

Cardenas makes a ton of sense. I thought he was awesome.

as with the procedure you respond to those who enter the Portal and see who is even interested in SDSU - and as SDSU has learned there are those who also have their eyes on NIL more then quality programs

Two more decent MW players hit the portal today:
Xavier Dusell: Junior, Shooting Guard, 6' 4" 190, Fresno State 11.5 PPG, 2.1 RPG Mason Falsev: Freshman, Shooting Guard, 6' 3" 190, Utah State 11.3 PPG, 4.4 RPG

I really feel for these teams, that is a lot of talent going out the door at those schools. I really like Cardenas and think he would be a great fit at SDSU as they need that true PG (who can also shoot). I like Falsev too but doubt he would come here.

Falslev is going to be a really good player. He already is. Not familiar with his defensive abilities.

If Sprinkle leaves I bet Osobor goes with him again. Brown's done though. Can Osobor transfer again without sitting? Rumors are Sprinkle will bring Osobor & Falslev with him. Seattle press says Job #1 is to keep Koren Johnson and Wesley Yates on campus, #2 to keep Zoom Diallo committed to Washington, on top #3 bring in transfers.
