Kentucky is stopping by Portland on their way to Hawaii. I don't think it is them, but I agree it would great to play them. If it is Michigan St though, .. they are actually going to be rated much higher than Kentucky and possibly 2 or 3 to start the year. What was ASU's ranking when they came here 2 years ago .. weren't they top 10? Regardless though, with Wichita St, Arizona and (mystery team) on the schedule, we are looking at 3 OOC games against top 50 RPI teams where we had none last year. |

If it is Michigan State and the Nevada and ST Mary's rumors are true and the LVI invitation, well we finally have a tough schedule to challenge ourselves
Arizona
St Mary's
Michigan State
LVI ( kansas, Miami U,Indiana, and Arizona, hopefully we can get a game against Kansas but I doubt it)
Wichita State
and good second tier teams like
Long Beach
Nevada
Cal

I never saw any legit commentary proposing that SDSU might be in the LVI, only wishful thinking. Am I missing something?!?
(Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, just don't want to hold any useless optimism...)
Game vs Mich State would/will be awesome. Any idea on an approx date?

I temper my excitement because it seems every year we have an almost deal in place to play a top 50 team Also, to the Las Vegas tourney, someone on the old board that seemed to have good connections posted a number of times we'd be in it, but, it just seems odd that the 7 other teams are noted, but we're not. Waiting for any information about the schedule and being reduced to future opponents and 'insiders' gets really old. I just hope we don't have to wait as long as we usually do to find out. |

According to the Orleans Arena website (www.orleansarena.com), SDSU is not in the Las Vegas Invitational (Thanskgiving) or Las Vegas Classic (Christmas). Still wondering which November/December tournament SDSU will get into.
