We'll take all the unearned runs the O's want to give us.

Once again, don't accept Kolek calls to the mound. Dude is just as bad as De los Suckos. Can't hold a score. Not even a low-leverage guy, apparently.

Preller better move faster on getting someone new for the bullpen. I saw a proposed trade: Snelling for Marlin's Scott.

Guess it's true of most bullpens but the back end of ours is pretty bad.

Guess it's true of most bullpens but the back end of ours is pretty bad. Definitely not. Morejon, Estrada and Suarez are all very good.

Bottom of the Barrel might be a more accurate description of butt end of the bull pen …

I obviously used the wrong term, I would have thought you knew what I meant. I humbly apologize to the Mr. Sancrosanct who hasn't made a mistake in probably a couple decades at least. What a tool.

Gillaspie did his job, not having to use Suarez or Estrada was big today because Vasquez is in for it tomorrow, statistically, anyway.

No you weren't, you knew exactly what I meant. You're very baseball savvy, we all know that.

Which arms are the Pads after? It's been fairly quiet thus far.

Which arms are the Pads after? It's been fairly quiet thus far. That's intentional....they don't leak. Skubal, Crochet, Flaherty, Taillon, Fedde and a couple others.

Padres acquire Jason Adam from Tampa for an exorbitant package of Lesko, Bush and former high draftee JD Gonzalez.
Might be my least favorite trade of the Preller era.

Padres acquire Jason Adam from Tampa for an exorbitant package of Lesko, Bush and former high draftee JD Gonzalez. Might be my least favorite trade of the Preller era. Also dfa’d Otto … a starter would make sense now, as a little insurance in case either Musgrove or Darvish can’t come back. And with King’s innings getting higher with every appearance, they will have to factor that into their decision too. Really don’t need a repeat of last season’s end of year mess with the rotation. Just grabbing any arm they could find off the wire and rolling with them… steep price for Adam, but he will help prevent multiple inning appearances by Suarez. Lesko is a loss, but the historical record for Padres pitcher development at least with starters is poor. The other two will do well eventually, but the Win Now Padres want it now, not eventually.
