Wow, the press conference was really good and got me excited again, which I guess is what it was supposed to do. I was actually hard to keep up with Coach and how fast he speaks after listening to Hoke and his hemming and hawing and gravel-mouthed speech. This guys was fast and decisive, which hopefully is how he'll run the team. President de la Torre wasn't bad either. AD Wicker on the other hand, his speech I thought was terrible. Full of mistakes, re-speaks, and didn't sound genuine. I was actually surprise at how bad he was, but didn't care once I heard Coach talk himself. Wicker was fine. You seem to have an agenda with him?

Didn't Sanders demote him this year? Anyone that’s been demoted is not a good sign \ Look at his offensive points production and get back to me, willya? When you lose while scoring over 40 points maybe you don't blame the offense or the OC. JMHO, of course. He got demoted because Deion cares mainly about Deion and his kids and not the program itself.

The long-time SDSU fan in me is suspicious that Chuck Long is going to get off of that plane. Based on what? Fear and insecurity?

Except you don’t understand the why part…you must not follow the sport closely at all. Nick Saban was fired from Ohio State once. He must be really crappy. Bill Belichick sucked in Cleveland.

Think he is an IL guy not Wisconsin Interesting Headline by Sports Illustrated and USA Today OC that Prime DEMOTED lands HC job at SDSU It's all about St. Deion.

The difficult thing it is the Spin / Headline that SI and USA went with as their headline
OC that Dion Demoted hired as HC at SDSU
is a Spin that SDSU's new HC may have to deal - with - again the scoring may not agree with the headline but it is the Spin that HC Lewis might have to deal with in his recruiting - but Colorado has lost some players recently
Minnesota has also had some guys leave the program this week
Can Lewis get the best of it we will see - actions not words

Didn't Sanders demote him this year? Anyone that’s been demoted is not a good sign There are only two kinds of coaches: Those who have been fired and those who are going to be....

Guys need to stop discussing what happened at CU. There is so much nuance with what happened. Don't concern yourselves with it. He's a good coach. You're going to be happy IMO.

This is why: In a recent article by The Athletic, one anonymous coach deemed that Sanders' handling of Lewis was embarrassing and if he were Lewis he'd get out of dodge, which he did. “That was embarrassing. … If I’m Sean Lewis, I’m outta there on the first opportunity,” said one assistant. That coach said that Shedeur’s propensity to hold on to the ball didn’t always fit with Lewis’s quick-release tempo system, causing a rift. That coach also said that when his team faced Colorado, after a three-and-out by the Buffs, he saw Lewis try to get Shedeur’s attention but Shedeur “pushed (Lewis) off and went to the other side of the field.” The coach also believes that Sanders' willingness to demote Lewis may deter other coaches away from wanting to work under him. “A lot of OCs will be hesitant to come into Colorado now seeing what Sean Lewis did,” the assistant continued. “People were talking about him as a head coach candidate after Week 4, and for you to demote him? That’s telling.” athlonsports.com/college-football/anonymous-coach-says-deion-sanders-handling-of-sean-lewis-situation-was-embarrassing

Dino Babers for OC! He coached at SDSU and has strong West Coast ties and good recruiter. Sean Lewis is going to be the OC. As for the OC job title, that is probably going to be someone he already knows so that it fits his own offense and play calling. The “OC” here will not be calling the plays.

O'Boyle, their OL coach, came to Colorado with Lewis and could see him coming to SDSU with him as well. I'm sure some will point to how bad Colorado's line was, but it was year 1 & that was a make shift line with little time together heading into the season. With the OL the # of starts together matters. Think he'd be a nice change from Goff, who IMO has been terrible.

An understatement: I'm relieved. Lewis brings pressure-cooker energy to the program. He's young, yet very poised. Answers directly and quickly. great sponteneity. He'll be a suberb recruiter, I think. I'm impressed by the school's expedited search and "siezure" for and of a new HC. I did NOT think they would be as agressive or keen on the pick. This was a winner all the way around.

It sounds like it will be the TE coach from Minnesota, given they worked together at Kent St. Even if Lewis is calling the plays he needs someone in the booth with a good view of the field to tell him what the defense is doing. I have no worries that Lewis is going to bring in some quality people on offense. People at CU don't like Bill O'Boyle as their O-line sucked. Whether that is on him or not will remain to be seen.
