I'm sure he'll probably have a Coke machine in the cell next to him...I think they ought to put him in a super-max prison...I want to make sure he is safe and secure. More likely it's the exact opposite. Club Fed. IF he lives long enough to get convicted. These trials could take forever if his legal team is halfway competent.

Yes house arrest. He'll be able to get all the Diet Cokes he wants.
I voted Trump because I expect him to be the nominee not because I support him. Too many brainwashed idiots in the Grand Old Party these days. It's very sad.

Too many brainwashed idiots in the Grand Old Party these days. It's very sad. It's pathetic. People unable to think for themselves. People for whom critical thinking isn't possible anymore. They're so blinded by tribalism and partisanship that they just think in terms of, "My guy good, other guy bad." Pathetic. Espcecially considering what a corrupt, fascist, moronic scumbag Trump is.

The clowns are saying that the Constition can take away a person's rights without having to give that same person the right to due process guaranteed in the Constitution. It's absurd on its face. The True Believers would give non-citizens all the rights of our Constitution but would deny the same to their political enemy who is a US citizen. They are saying, our loud, that we should be a Banana Republic.

By the way, the "clown" here is a lifelong Republican who worked in the Reagan administration, was appointed to the bench by George H.W. Bush and served for 15 years in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He's now an Independent, as of this year. You do not have the right to violate the 14th Amendment without consequence. It does not require a criminal conviction. It does not require Congress to act. Due process applies to the Fifth Amendment, which isn't relevant to the discussion here. Nobody has threatened to remove Trump's due process. He's entitled to the same protections everyone else is under the law.

So we are talking apples and oranges. The clowns in question say that Trump should be disqualified via the 14th without needing to be found guilty of insurrection. What don't you get? It is effectively a conviction by accusation alone. Absurd!

The 14th Amendment (Section 3) prohibits anyone from seeking public office who engaged in an act of insurrection against the United States. It doesn't require a criminal conviction. You don't have the "right" to be president if you created rebellion against your own country. Might want to brush up on the Constitution. What exactly is being denied from your hero?

Where am I? Where is the presumption of innocence? In the cases where people are relieved from jobs based on accusation alone, they have due process available to them and can contest and overturn those actions if the accusation is unfounded. I wouldn't put it past some would be Banana Republic Judge from making the claim that Trump can't run but it wouldn't survive the due process owed Trump if they did (as things stand now, anyhow). It would be a Banana Republic move for political purposes alone, not a legitimate legal move.

The issue is our constitutionally protected right to due process. You can't say someone created rebellion and have that person held accountable for that action without proving he committed that action in the first place. It is leftist bizarro world! Is "drop a dime" justice.

Does it say that a person should be prohibited from holding office or running for President if they may or may have not committed rebellion? Read it indeed!
