I don't need to, I know how to click on a post to see the entire thread instead of just reactively responding to something I don't know about. The person you're referring to isn't a writer or a blogger, he's a former professional catcher who runs camps and clinics across the country through his academy. He's the same person who identified the change in Campusano's framing/body technique that has raised his overall defensive profile behind the plate. What you see is "He's catching the ball" and surprisingly there's more to it than that. Your actions speak differently, or you wouldn't have said what you originally said. You acted as though you only saw that one post. Then again, you love to redirect anything I say, even if it's ridiculous from you. So there's that There was nothing in the original video that Josh posted that showed ELITE hands. No framing, or advanced technique. In the second video, it showed more evidence of elite hands/technique from Salas. I don't care who he is, and I'm not saying he was wrong. Just that the first video showed nothing to determine his elite talents except that as a 16 year old, he's in the pros and catching elite pitchers. Like I said, the second video showed more proof. Pretty simple, but you'll make it out to be more than it is, per usual. It's possible that he may not be referring to that video as evidence, considering he got to work with Salas in the past at one of his camps and knows his defensive reputation in the scouting world. No advanced technique? One knee down, glove down (all recent technique shifts in the catching world) I must have missed your catching credentials along the line. My bad.

No evidence of elite hands in that first video. I don't need to be a catching guru to see that in that video. I was only going by what was posted. The bottom line is that a second video was posted and cleared it up. You can keep on making it more than that. It's what you do best.

Great framing, great hands. Ready right now defensively to play in the majors. Wow.

Question. Does anybody know if there are no issues anymore on whether an International players age can be manipulated or not? It's even happened in the USA, but I think it did a lot more over seas.

How is that relevant here? There are safeguards in place, it's a much more intricate system than it was years ago. Teams do background checks.

Is it still a relevant topic. It used to be. Just curious. You go ahead and make it more than that, since that's what you LOVE to do. Sheesh.

And no, it's not an issue anymore. Once the league stepped in after the scandal years ago, teams do comprehensive background checks and meet with families and do due diligence. Salas was born in Florida. He's 16.

It sure does belong in this thread since he's an International player. It sparked my curiosity, so I asked the question. So, now what's going to be your next ridiculous rebuttal? My goodness.

He was born in Kissimmee, Florida, but grew up in Venezuela. That's what gives him international signing classification abilities. He trains in Florida. Your insinuation that he's not 16 is what it is, I guess.

Ha!!! That's what you thought at the time. No typo. News flash. Ryan can be wrong from time to time. Now, go hug your ego. Sheesh.

He's from Venezuela, grew up in Caracas. He was born in Florida, though. His MILB profile says "Caracas, Venezuela." If you weren't insinuating he wasn't 16, then you're in the wrong thread, as I said earlier. On another note, I'm trying to dig through archives to see if he would be the youngest player in Cal League history if he opens with Elsinore.
