Said he lives ONE exit from SDSU & thinks there would be too many distractions so he chose SMU I can respect that. We have seen sometimes it is best to leave your area to progress as a person/player. Good luck to you.

Was that his best opportunity - No P5 schools ? It's a good program... and they are paying $36,000 per player (football & men's hoops) via an NIL deal.

appreciate his honesty about Himself and San Diego
But what does it say to other SD Recruits who have been or could be playing at SDSU and are from San Diego
There are numerous P5 schools in Texas and CA - didn't any offer

Until Hoke gets off his rotund ass and hires a well-regarded OC, offensive skill players will be difficult to successfully recruit.

He gets at least 36 K a year in NIL just for being on the SMU roster. That has nothing to do with football coaches. Players are transferring for NIL too Imagine the tranfers SDSU could get with team NIL deals of that magnitude

was interesting to see that 3 players from Alabama were transferring to TCU
Texas loves their Football and has a good amount of NIL money

Plus the $36k, but “Hoke should get off his ass and hire an OC”. Hey @goaztecs1977 how much do we give to transfers for NIL? If that kid were my son I’d tell him to take the free SMU degree and contacts that go with it vs virtually none at SDSU, live in the nicest part of Dallas, have robots deliver food you want to your dorm room at any hour of the day, plus the $72,000 in cash. The contacts at SMU are unreal. One of my business partner’s son’s friend goes to SMU and is tight with the twin daughters of the CEO of Restoration Hardware who go there as well. The insta for those girls is supposedly nuts. G6 rides out of Dallas every weekend to somewhere nice. SDSU can’t come close to comparing. There’s a reason SMU is called the USC of Texas.

Never checked out Coaches rear end If you've watched an aztec fb game, you've seen it. He, himself once said he had a fat ass. I remember the interview.

Yes, he should get off his ass and hire an OC. He's only had four months to come up with a candidate. Have you even heard anything from Hoke or the media suggesting that he's even identified, spoken with or interviewed an external candidate? Are you suggesting that he shouldn't? Are you suggesting that he's known he needed to hire a new OC since September of last year and hasn't, is acceptable? That he's gone into the NLI signing day without an OC is acceptable? That he's gone into and continues to be without an OC during the transfer portal signing period is acceptable? How so?

I agree with you on the need for an OC but my point was that in this case it appears highly likely that not having an OC was not a factor in this kid’s decision.
