Kev lost again...but he's wearing them down...must be the new lip gloss and knee pads he got over night.... Down to 6 Republicans not voting for McCarthy--all 6 voted for Jordan (I think), who doesn't want the job and voted for McCarthy. I also don't think anyone even bothered to nominate Jordan this time--the goofiest 6 just voted for him anyway.

I think he'll get the votes by tomorrow, but some of the language coming out of the discussions is scary not good for the country.

It’s not my material, it’s the dysfunctional GOP’s. When you say move on from Hunter, that’s not going to happen. His escapades have been buried and hidden for too long and the Republicans are going to take a look at the coke and hooker enthusiast’s activities. Apparently Biden is going to make his first appearance at the border…in his entire 50 year political career. The fentanyl problem has been ignored for too long. Also the endless stream of illegals needs to be addressed. Biden wants them all in our country, just not in affluent areas. A clear voter grab. Yes, inflation is a problem. 7.11% is very high, down from 9.06 of last summer, but all of this has been happening with the Dems in charge. Your spin is weak. Wow, why do you guys have such a boner for Hunter Biden? He's not even an elected official or Hollywood actor. This is Benghazi all over again. How much satisfaction did you get out of that? Hunter Biden is suspected of influence peddling and he has tax Issues. On top of that, his shady dealings with Russian Oligarch figures and his role in a Chinese backed cobalt mining deal are also being looked at. I’m sure he will be exonerated, his dad apparently has some influence.🤔

LOL at "influence peddling"....that's hysterical. Welcome to politics, where dark money has been a thing for....decades? He's been under FBI investigation for multiple years and the best that's been come up with is back-taxes and a purchase of a firearm. Y a w n. Open season.

So, you are all for investigations of The GOP but dismiss looking into the incredibly corrupt Democrats? Thanks for trying Sheckie, but the reality is both sides need to be looked at. ESPECIALLY THE DEMS who enjoy around the clock mainstream media protection, which gets parlayed into boatloads of corrupt democrat deals. We should have a new speaker soon, expect the ethics committee to get to work ASAP. I don’t care if Jared Kushner gets investigated, it seems the democrats already had two years to get around to that. Unfortunately this partisan bickering is the driving force behind Washington DC in current politics.

You're the one acting like the corruption only occurs on one side and that prostitution and drugs are somehow on an equal footing with the assassination of journalists. And there's the media excuse again, phantomly used, like clockwork. The ethics committee? Lol. Good, start with Marjorie, Boebert, Gaetz and others. There are no "ethics" with Kevin McCarthy involved.

There were ethics under San Fran Nan?

There were ethics under San Fran Nan? Things Nancy Pelosi is not: Credibly accused and investigated for the sex trafficking of minors: Gaetz Credibly accused of covering up sexual assault of wrestlers in the Ohio State program: Jordan Credibly linked to the January 6th insurrection: Gosar, Biggs, Greene, Boebert, Brooks, McCarthy, et al. I know you hate Democrats, I know you're bright enough to figure out the difference in *real* corruption versus fictional story time. Nancy Pelosi sought help on January 6th, on video, when the former biggest loser was laughing while watching on television and at least one of her "colleagues" was identifying her location in real time to the insurrectionists still in the Capitol. Nancy Pelosi is not a traitor to her country, whereas everyone criminally associated with the FPOTUS is. That's the difference. You can't spin everything when the truth isn't readily available and on your side. The GOP doesn't exist anymore, sham investigations aren't changing that. The corrupt cannot investigate themselves.

Remember when you were on here talking $#!+ and wanting to bet everybody about the "red wave"? We should have taken you up on it. Drain the swamp, the "deep state" etc. Have you ever for one minute looked at what trump and the maga brain dead did, and tried to do, to this country? You, and others, should be ashamed to have ever been a part of that $#!+ show.

Quite a spectacle. Watching Boebert trying to read off a teleprompter! Maga Chronicles staring Lauren Boebert, MTG, Gaetz, Gosar et al. The next 2 years is gonna be Idiocracy on steroids, hope America pulls through. The nuts have taken over the asylum.

This would essentially allow people under investigation to hinder said investigation into them - Out in the open. Those expecting the GOP to actually accomplish things are going to be sorely disappointed as the radical faction gains control.

Don't forget trying to reduce the IRS to a point they can't go after the billionaire and millionaire tax dodgers. It's ridiculous that these fat cats don't even file anymore knowing that the IRS doesn't have the personnel and time to catch them.

While some of the rules changes are ridiculous, and I don't agree politically with the far-right group in the GOP, I do love that the minority bloc in one of the major two parties is actually wielding it's power. This sort of thing happens far more frequently in European parliaments. I would love it if the progressive block of the Democratic party would do the same more often instead of rubber-stamping Pelosi, etc.

Airing grievances is a good thing, and can bring issues to light. McCarthy needed to be called out for his issues.
