-The economic data clearly favors Trump in terms of GDP, trade numbers and private citizens net worth. Under Biden’s economic recession, people are being spent down by higher energy and consumer prices. -Trump presided over 4 years of relative peace and prosperity. “Rocket Man”, the Chinese, the Russians were all fairly well behaved with the threat of cowboy Trump holding the trigger. -Under Trump the USA was energy independent. Something the liberals swore was impossible, it wasn’t. This boon of energy stabilized North America and W. Europe. The numbers are a little tougher to quantify but here is an article which talks about that. www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-energyindependence-explainer/fact-check-which-factors-determine-u-s-energy-independence-idUSL2N2VQ2ZV-Under Trump unemployment was at historic lows, African Americans and Hispanics were employed and earned incomes at record levels. -Under Trump the border was brought under control. Under Biden chaos reigns. www.politico.com/f/?id=0000017f-d8bd-d522-ab7f-debd59400000I get that you don’t like the guy, those cable comedy shows you get your opinions from lampooned Trump relentlessly. He was not “presidential” in the classic sense, however he did get things done and was able to sidestep numerous political landmines (impeachments). Clearly better than Biden, our own opinions aside, just look at the polls….. news.gallup.com/poll/203198/presidential-approval-ratings-donald-trump.aspxVS www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/biden-losing-key-independent-support-as-his-approval-rating-drops-lowerThis has to be a joke... Trump inherited an economy that was actually healthy. The growth was nearly identical to the entirety of Obama's second term. Then we had the pandemic, and Biden inherited an absolute mess thanks to Trump's mishandling of public health protocols and procedures. Relative peace and prosperity? On what planet? Outside of the insurrection, which was the first in 200 years, the Black Lives Matter protests that you love to point to, Kim Jong Un launching rockets whenever he wanted to as Trump idolized him, engaging in conflict with Iran....the list goes on. Not even misleading, just an outright lie. Energy dependent? No. The U.S. imported foreign oil throughout the Trump presidency. I'm sure you bought the grift hook, line and sinker, but it's a myth. In 2020, Trump's last full year in office, the US imported about 7.9 million barrels per day of crude oil and petroleum products. That was down from prior years, but not even close to energy independence. And now for the unemployment nonsense - Trump inherited an economy that was healthy and growing. Unemployment on the day he took office was 4.7%. It got as low as 3.5%. He inherited a good situation, but more jobs were added in the second Obama term than the first three years of Trump's term. Trends matter. Framing arguments does as well. It has nothing to do with me not liking anyone. He was impeached twice, regardless of how you'd like to spin that. It happened. I don't watch cable news...I don't even have cable at all. (I know this is the token line of defense, but get real) - Numerous landmines of his own doing, yes. Exchanging political favors for aid, for example. Inciting an insurrection, for another. We had four years of political attacks on the press, four years of propaganda from the West Wing, an obscene amount of political corruption and indictments, White nationalism in the Oval Office, a complete failure in managing the public health crisis, more golf than governing and a myriad of failures that saw him become the first one term president in decades. He failed this country. He failed his oath. That's his legacy. The most obvious policy that Trump enacted that was good and can't be denied (except by True Believers) is his Energy Policy. Under Trump. the US was a net exporter of energy and had a very broad base for energy generation. Contrast his policies to the idiotic energy policies given to us by the Biden admin. He goes into a proxy war with Russia while at the same time cripples our energy sector. What that does is funds the Russian war machine with astronomical oil prices while inflicting inflation on virtually all economic sectors that rely on energy (which is almost all). And that inflation is killing the middle class and the poor to the point where those in the US that need to go to food banks to make ends meet is skyrocketing. Joe and his True Believers Own It.

But through the first 11 months of 2021, the U.S. also was on its way to being a net exporter of energy last year — and, thus, by that definition, “energy independent.” Fail.

An opinion article on a site I've never heard of. Inflation is a global process, once again. Don't let facts intervene.

An opinion article on a site I've never heard of. Inflation is a global process, once again. Don't let facts intervene. Here is chart on oil prices. Not sure why the posted it in logarithmic scale (it can be turned off). They also adjust for inflation (but isn't the price of oil often a contributing factor in that inflation?). Clearly the highest prices for decades. www.macrotrends.net/1369/crude-oil-price-history-chartAnd look at the inflation rates over the last 10 years. Joe owns the last two. The issue isn't that inflation is global and what are we to do? Many of the world's Governments have been engaged in deficit spending for decades. www.macrotrends.net/2497/historical-inflation-rate-by-year. It is that Joe and the Democrats absolutely were caught with their pants down around their exposed leftist ideologies as they decided to play economic hardball with Russia (see attempted oil/gas purchasing embargo) and, at the same time, didn't have a plan to address the implications of their decisions for the rest of the world's energy needs. So they pulled out their knee pads. Joe owns this. Facts indeed. Stubborn things.

The closing price in 2013 was within a couple of dollars. 2008 was 22 dollars higher, what happened in 2008? Oh yeah. Bailouts, economic chaos around the world and financial collapse. It's almost like it's a worldwide phenomenon, duh. Joe doesn't "own" this, COVID does. It's well documented that gas prices began to rise in April of 2020, well before Joe ever became a thing. It's not Russia, it's not the embargo, it's simple supply and demand coming out of a pandemic where travel was sharply reduced and demand sharply lowered. People aren't stupid.

That would only happen if the Democrats had nowhere else to turn. The price of oil and its impact on the price of goods (see inflation) is a function of Biden's Energy Policy and Foreign Policy. Truly, some people aren't stupid. Others are.
