4 star recruit from HS. Only averaged 2.4 pts per game in 11 minutes. Looks more like a pure SG; shot 56% from 3 in his limited role at vandy. Recruited by vandy, Arizona, Arkansas, Rutgers, ASU, Clemson and cinci among others. Only a freshman, so would have 3 years remaining

Was a Top 100 recruit in the country &played in 35 games as a freshman, started 2. Season high points was 10 vs Hawaii and 10 vs UGA. Good potential, looks athletic and strong. I assume he would have a bench role of 10-15 minutes max with the Aztecs, similar to his PT with Vandy. BC has him in their sites and starting roles available.

Matt Bradley, Malachi Flynn, Yanni Wetzel, Max Hoetzel, Tiki Gill Caesar, Valentine Izundu, Angelo Chol, JJ O'Brien. That's 8 guys off the top of my head that have transferred in from larger conferences, so I 'd say we've had good success with P-6 guys overall. The questions the coaches are considering is, would you rather have a stud from a smaller conference, or a highly recruited guy who didn't get as many minutes or didn't win enough at say a Washington or an Arizona State or what have you. It's the Terrel Gomez scenario pretty much to a T. Gotta choose wisely... Sean Rooks X Thames, WSU Evan Burns, UCLA Dwayne Polee, St Johns Garret Green, LSU Brian Carwell, Illini

You call also add " Too Tall Johnson " Josh T , another 5 - Green from was it Vandy or another Southern School "- to your list of guys that were here but NOT exactly even First Team MW players .
It is very difficult to get guys who are top players to come to MW schools or most other NON P6 + Zags
Do I think the staff asks most of the top players if they are interested yes but think the top talent may first be looking at P6 + Zags schools - and think we are their back up plan
When the Portal had 1000 guys in it and there are would you guess maybe 250 guards in it - - were you looking at some of the top names - even some on the list of those connected to SDSU were you hoping they could land the 5'9" guard from Seattle ?
I hope he does well but there is an adjustment ask T-Go
You may want to look at stats D. T had against some of the better teams Seattle played against this year
Against WSU - he was 3 for 13 FG , 0 FOR 2 ON THREEES VMI 7/17 FG UNLV 3 OF 12 FG AND 0 FOR 5 ON THREES HUSKIES FG 7 FOR 17 FG --- 0 FOR 3 ON THREES UTAH VALLEY 5 FOR 13 FG- 2 FOR 7 ON THREES N/M STATE HE WAS 8 FOR 16 FG 3 FOR 8 THREES UTAH VALLEY ( second game ) 3 for 19 FG 2 for 7 on THREES
Unfortunately the Transfer Portal is similar to recruiting HS players

There is hope that he adjusts his game through practicing against his teammates day in and day out.

Looks like he is not that quick and I'm not sure he can dunk with ease for 6'5"(?) but his shooting fundamentals are good. VERY strong which helps in tourney time.
14/25 on this threes is a fantastic number!
He looks like a taller, stronger Seiko who could become a defensive stopper.
He decommitted from Arizona to go to Vandy. At 4-stars there's potential but this is his third life decision in 2 years which is a red flag.

I'm thinking Arkansas may have the advantage because didn't Musselwoman recruit him to Nevada?

Does a player have to Enter the Transfer Portal by May 1 but not have to sign by May 1 Jeff Borzello
ESPN Staff Writer Published/Updated Today 4.8.22If you thought last spring's transfer portal was overwhelming, this spring likely hasn't improved matters. The roster changes aren't slowing down. The one-time transfer waiver remains in effect, and there are a number of additional factors that could lead to a similar number of men's basketball names in the portal this spring to the 1,832 that went in for the 2020-21 academic year. Programs must get back to the 13-scholarship limit after being allowed to exceed it for 2021-22 thanks to the extra year of NCAA eligibility, meaning rosters will need to be reduced for many programs. Also, because of COVID-19 protocols, the majority of this year's freshmen are currently on campuses they never even visited before arriving in the summer or fall -- another factor that could lead to attrition.
There are two potential reasons the current pace could be slightly behind the record-setting numbers last spring. Firstly, everyone received a waiver to transfer last spring. Two-time transfers will now need to apply for a waiver, and there is not a ton of optimism that those will be approved. Secondly, the deadline to enter the portal and still be eligible for next season is May 1, so we likely won't see players like Kofi Cockburn and Dawson Garcia, who entered the portal last July, do the same during this cycle. We're at just about 1,200 transfers this spring, but with that May 1 deadline just a couple weeks away, we might still see another influx soon. Keep your head on a swivel.

Thank you Gundo - good dig
It is as I thought - a player has to ENTER the Transfer Portal by May 1 - it does not mean they have to sign with a new school by May 1 .
also there is the limit of 13 scholarships - even with Covid extra season players .
In addition - it seems that J. Ledee a two time transfer could have applied to play this season but chose to learn the Aztecs system and have 2 years to play starting in the 2022-23 season
W. Washinton who is leaving Reno and is a 2 time transfer - so take it he is a grad transfer that would not have to sit ? because of grad transfer ? or does he have to sit ?

would think that Ethan would be a guard candidate for the Aztecs as well Absolutely not, he’s the exact opposite of what we are looking for Ethan Anderson will be playing for Wyoming next year. Good get for the Pokes, we may see him twice next year.

The Cowboys return most of their starting unit + 2 USC Transfers, Anderson played 90 games, 49 starts, Max Agbonkpolo played 90 games, started 21 and 18 last year. Wyo gets 40% of the Trojan starting line-up.
