They kind of do. That was a bad offense, and a mediocre defense. Not impressive on either side of the ball. Our offense made their defense look halfway competent, but that unit isn't very good. Hawaii has a Top 40 run defense… and we chose not to pass… when we did open it up and start to pass, wow, we moved the ball… I hated the play calling, but Hawaii has a good run defense |

Hoke won't start Haskell because "he hasn't grasped the entire offense"
Yet, he starts Johnson and previously Brookshire, two QBs unable to actually run even half of Heck's offense.
So which one would you start?
Let the kid learn. You can actually expand the offense as he learns rather than what has been done...continue to reduce the offense based on the limitations of the QBs.
