An Exhibit 10 contract is more or less just a training camp invite. However, it gives the team flexibility to convert the contract to a two-way deal before the start of the season if they so choose.

The Wizards Guards last year had 3-pt shooting % of: 34.9% 27.7% 36.4% 38.4% 39.0% 36.7% 31.5% 47.1%
The 47.1% was Cassius Winston, a 6'1" rookie who was 8-17 and averaged 1.9 ppg. Hope JS has his stroke down because this team could use some outside shooting. Maybe he could be another Kyle Korver: 6'7" 3-pt specialist who will soon be playing his 18th NBA season.

In talking to him Saturday he likes his situation there with their G-league team and thinks he'll get plenty of PT. It's a great situation for him.

I thought he'd have a better chance than Matt M to make it in the nba. Schakel's release is so quick (very Clay Thompson-like) and he's a smart player. Best of luck to him.

Had the opportunity to watch two of Schakel's Summer League games in-person, watched the rest of them on TV.
His ticket into the NBA is probably as a 3&D player, but his defense was some of the worst on the floor. Constantly had opposing ballhandlers blow by him, poor footwork literally brought him down on the ground, and he didn't have much success when contesting for rebounds. Could have done more consistent offensively, but the Kings & Warriors weren't exactly running plays for him.
It seems like the Wizards have 1 remaining two-way contract to give; it's interesting that he's the only 1 of the 4 players signed who wasn't on the Wizards SL roster.

He's only 7-19 FG, including 2-10 from 3 in the first two games. But they're 2-0 and he's averaged almost 30 minutes a game. The team is +15 with him on the court. On the parent Washington Wizards team, no SFs are shooting more than 34% from 3 so if he starts hitting three's like he can, maybe there's a shot.
One of the impediments to that is their 2021 1st-round draft pick, Corey Kispert, from Gonzaga. He shot 44% from 3 in college and got a 4-year $16 Million contract so he'll probably be impossible to replace.

Even super stars. They all got stories of how they got their rear ends busted as rookies.

I watched the last 5 minute of this close game. Jordan never touched the ball. Everyone is playing hero ball, taking bad shots and missing FTs. Jordan stands in the corner, which seems like he's supposed to be doing but no one moves the ball towards him. He's playing the most minutes of the starting five. 6-15 tonight with 3-10 from 3. 4 RBs, 2 Assists and 1 block. Game going to OT.

Jordan is back in the G-League, playing his first game tonight since coming down from his brief NBA stay. Not many guys ever see the floor in the NBA but he did and got 14 minutes over two games. He was 0-6 from 3 in one and never shot in the other. I was hoping he'd go back to what he was doing to get him into the NBA: shoot 3's and do it well.
And tonight in just the 1st half, he's 5-9 FG, including 4-8 from 3. He'll be back in the NBA before the end of the season.

Sorry to see this, CBS Sports slammed him after going 0 of 6 in 2 games, in 14 minutes of play. I hope the kid gets another shot. I looked at Jamal, JJ, X Thames those three guys didn't get much of a shot after there call up to the League. Winston played summer league & G League never got a call up, Malik Pope also played summer league & G League the same. Zylan, made it to a few games, but isn't on an NBA roster. Jalen & Malachi are playing in the NBA, Jalen has had some good games in Charlotte, Mal declined versus last year. He is a rhythm player, needs more PT.
