If the game goes in our favor, we may see QB Haskell show his skills. Oldie Out

Would LOVE to see Haskell play at least a quarter without having to hand off up the middle every play. I also thought the Aztecs should have played Armstead at rb the 2nd half as he is so big and strong and could have helped wear down the Utah D.

After graduation, there will be starting shoes to fill. Haskell and Armstead will be the future, it would nice to see a glimpse of what's to come. Oldie Out

How come Armstead has had only one carry so far this year? He got most of the carries in the scrimmages (I know they were limiting Greg Bell) but he seemed to be RB #2. The coaches were raving about him during the spring and summer. He’s a power back as you said.

Looking at the depth chart: goaztecs.com/documents/2021/9/20/SDSU_Depth_Chart_vs_Towson.pdfArmstead has four seniors ahead of him (The Bells, Byrd, Williams) who are going to be schemed into the game plan. They will get the most touches. I'm assuming, they reserve the youngsters for mop-up duty and garbage time. Oldie Out

Sometimes they play on special teams like Tyrell Shavers (WR) has. Remember he scored the TD against Arizona on the blocked punt, catching it in the air
and racing into the End Zone!!!

If we find that we can run on Towson are we just going to do that for the whole game? Will we try to do some work on a passing game?

It'll be interesting to see how we handle the offense. I can see they might want to work on some new blocking schemes for run plays, but we'd all be disappointed if they threw less than 20-25 passes.

Armstead is probably behind in pass pro and isn’t a adept receiver. A lot of Kaegun’s work has been on third down

Armstead is the perfect 4th quarter rb. By then, sasu should have worn down the defense and Armstead will run right through their arm tackles...

I would expect this to be one of the very few games Haskell sees action so hoping he has a chance. As long as he plays in 4 or less games he can keep the RS. I also hope to see Mayden late in a few games as well later in the year.
